"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"For us this was perfect. We were there visiting gardens in the area, and 2 of our favorites were 7 minutes away! We took a walk the first day and just minutes from the hotel was a pasture full of sheep and lambs. Thatch roof cottages right around the corner. Rich with character. Lovely breakfast in the mornings, and tasty choices for supper. But the best perk was the people. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, evenings spent talking and sipping wine with new friends! "
