Very nice place to stay . A few issues with my room which were sorted out. Lovely hosts and lovely breakfast each morning. Enjoyed relaxing in the garden after eventful days in Tsitsikamma

Wonderful hotel and extremely friendly hosts!
Maria and Pieter were amazing hosts in such a lovely space! The room was spacious and well kept. The morning breakfasts were excellent with good variety. And the location within the village was great for access to hiking paths, restaurants, and Tsitsikamma. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to spend time at Tsitsi!

We’ve been a bit spoiled with the lodgings on our trip and this one was certainly adequate, but didn’t really stand out. Owners and staff were very friendly, rooms spacious and clean, nice grounds. Okay breakfast. Activities close to the hotel are what you come here for, Tsitsikamma, kayaking and the canopy tours. Can really recommend.

Lovely earm reception. We were late due to our flights, and left very early but they were pleasant and accommodating. Only downside, storms has nothing open after about 20h30. Even the fast food joint at the garage was closed. Take padkos or puchase something at the larger N2 City outside Jeffries if youre going to arrive late.

Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff/owner. When the charging port on my iPhone became unreliable, the person in charge printed me a map to the nearest iPhone store - a life saver with a dead phone! The location could not be better - a stones throw from the highway to everywhere - the National park, the Big Tree, etc. Basic accommodation but everything one really needs - wifi, TV, great breakfast, quiet and safe with a cafe and art gallery next door. Highly recommend for an inexpensive stay!!!

Wonderful home in storm river
Storm River Lodge was wonderful. Nice, cozy environment. Warm and kind hosts and great breakfast with freshly made eggs and pastries. I would highly recommend this location if you want a great starting point to explore the beautiful landscape. The gardens are gorgeous. Note that there is no AC if you run hot.

Great property and great stay around Tsitsikamma
The location of the property is great, around 5-6 km from the Tsitsikamma National Park. Even though the property is old, you can tell its really well maintained. The room was very clean and well taken care of, and it seems like the bathroom was newly refurbished as well. The pool was great and we enjoyed the pool area. The owner had 2 dogs that we loved interacting with! The only downside is that the village doesnt have a lot of places to eat, and apart from breakfast, it seems the property doesnt have any options for lunch or dinner, even though we enjoyed the bar facility.

Perfectly fine guesthouse, but not amazing. The hosts are basically pleasant. I think it is overpriced for the property in comparison to other places we stayed in South Africa, but maybe this is the norm for this area.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. Heated mattress was wonderful. The rooms were clean but had a bit of an odor.

Just wonderful. The Owner was very acomedating. A vegetarian option was on the breakfast menu as standard. We were able to shower comfortablely after a day of activities although we had already checked out. Just amazing.

great place to stay in tsitsikamma
lovely location in storms river village...not hub of activity but nice place to rest and relax. the owners do have dog which we loved but might not be for everyone. we had no issues parking but not sure if thats normal. lots restaurants locally which the owner has got menus in reception to review. lodge has no real bar but has a n honesty bar where u take out of fridge beer and soft drinks and write down what taken. bed nice shower good strength. however our shower back to front - hot to right but signed to left. breakfast good lots of choice hot and cold. would stay here again if in area and room 1 is great size room too.

Happy find for what we needed
It has a rustic non-commercial feel to it. It is in a small village that has a couple of shops and 3 or 4 simple restaurants. We stayed in April so temperature was OK - no need for air con or heater. We only stayed 1 night, ate across the road and drove around. The area is beautiful and the lodge is a good base for walking / driving out to the nature reserves and coastline. Comfortable bed and a genuine welcome on arrival.

Good location, you get what you pay for
Nice place, set in a good location, all activities and N2 within close range. Breakfast is lovely, check-in and our easy and the terrace is a nice touch, although right outside some rooms. Got room 12 so no view (of the parking and road only) but it was a half way house for us, so we didn't mind. The pillows and bed were comfortable - which was much welcome; as everywhere we have stayed in Southern Africa, both have been uncomfortable! Has a pool, but we did not get to use it. Would recommend for short stay on Garden Route trip and for Bloukrans Bungy (which is a must). If you like your steak, drive down to Cattle Baron, the Famous Chateubrien with brandy is insane - so much so we got a repeat order!

Will definitely be back
We only stayed one night but will definitely be back soon. The rooms were spacious and really lovely. We had a lovely dinner of pizza and local beer down the road before heading off to do the Storms River suspension bridge hike. My second time in the area and i'll definitely be back for a third :-)

We stayed 2nights and although it was ok it was not a great experience. Good location. Good size room. Decor classic 1980s style. Breakfast not good quality. Probably the poorest place we stayed in our 3 weeks.

Hôtel sans beaucoup de charme mais bien placé.
Cet hôtel a le mérite d’exister, les chambres sont grandes un peu vieillotte de même que les sanitaires mais ça marche. Le petit déjeuner était très bon et copieux. Il a juste manqué un peu de présence des propriétaires. Il faut impérativement que l’hôtel prévoit de mettre des rideaux d’occultation dans les chambres pour ne pas être réveillé à 05h00 du matin

Buona struttura a Storms River
La struttura é un po’ datata, comunque la nostra stanza era spaziosa, con un letto abbastanza comodo, bagno grande. Abbiamo soggiornato solo per una notte e considerando le poche possibilità li in zona, essendo l’albergo proprio nel piccolo paesino, era una ottima scelta. La sera siamo stati a cena in un ristorante raggiungibile a piedi. La colazione era ottima e la proprietaria molto informale, gentile e ci ha dato una serie di consigli anche su cosa fare in zona. Considerando anche il prezzo, direi una ottima soluzione.

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Situé à l’entrée du village de storms river. Nous avions une belle chambre d’angle avec un petit balcon très propre et confortable. Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement par la propriétaire qui pense à tout et qui règle tout en un instant. Un endroit paisible, décontracté et familial. Plusieurs restaurants à 3mn à pieds. Nous recommandons!!
