The property was very nice and clean. The best part was the service we received from Cato at the front desk. He was friendly and helpful. The restaurant manager was also very friendly. Food good but cold. It was not walkable for older guests. Hills too high.

Great experience - friendly staff

Rare find
To be honest i picked this hotel as it was close by to where I was working and didn't know anything about it when booking. Upon arrival I was very pleasantly surprised to discover how clean and fresh the room was. This is not the sort of hotel you usually find in small town Norway!

Don't arrive hungry
Arriving Sunday evening. Impossible to get ant food. The hotel is a bit off the track, and they don't serve food Sundays; For that price!

Nice hotel with a nice sightseeing view
Hospitality provided by hotel staff is amazing. Complimentary coffee and water at lobby is nice. Terrace with a stord view is gorgeous. Breakfasts are awesome

Too hot
Very friendly and pleasant hotel to stay in. The room we stayed in was uncomfortably hot due to the sun coming through the window & no air conditioning and stayed too hot throughout the day and night. Excellent hotel apart from this and I think the hot weather conditions were unusual.

Very pleasant stay and good value
We just needed a one night stay as we were traveling through the area. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. Not very many guests were there and I'm not sure why because it is a great hotel and especially at the price we got for a family of four. The breakfast was very good and plenty of it. Plus there is covered parking on the hotel property. We will stay there again when we are in the area.

Much better than before
This was my second time at this hotel, and what an improvement. It seems like the last time I stayed I was given a room in an older part of the hotel, which while comfortable was in need of a refresh.This time, the room was in a different part, and was much better (I recommend you request newer room when booking). Staff were great, breakfast buffet offered a good selection.

Best hotel in town
Stayed in Grand Hotell (good hotel, near downtown) and also stayed in Stord Hotell in the same trip. Stord hotell is much newer, more lively. Good food, with all kinds of amenities. Seemed to be the place to be.

Good hotel, when all the staff are off on holiday.
Don't go there during the month of July. In fact avoid Norway in July, they turn the lights off and all go on holiday. The bar was shut and the restaurant closed.

Utrolig fint hotell! Vennlig personale og veldig god mat. Litt glatt å gå utenfor enkelte plasser, skulle gjerne være strødd litt mer. Ellers har jeg ikke noe å klage på. Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet!
