Adorable hotel with great staff. Fabulous breakfast. Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. Room was probably too small for two people but would’ve been great for a solo traveler (so if more than one person upgrade to a bigger room). Shower situation was interesting and got bathroom very wet, but other than that we really enjoyed this hotel

if you want to bump your head all the time with bed sheets and towels never changed, go with this one. Do not have high expectation of VIP access perks at this place. For VIP access, they can only do 1 level, but many others can upgrade more than that. The housekeeping never changed bed sheets and towels for me, given we stayed there for 3 nights. The room’s window is SO SMALL, nearly no sunlight come in. And the ceiling is not flat, but diagonal, which bumps my head all the time. I won’t book this hotel any more, and highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this property.

I was very disappointed with my return visit for this hotel. I ended up switching rooms to have a larger room and a nicer view but the bed was literally a mattress topper. It was so uncomfortable. If you stay here then only stay in a junior suite or above! I als was disappointed in the behavior of the staff. They didn’t even wait until I was out of earshot before they started talking about how I was dissatisfied with my room. I will not stay there again.

Premium Price - Low Value. Junior Suite Room 418
This experience might not be indicative of all rooms, but a room 418 certainly fell short of our expectations for a Junior Suite. The good stuff: + Comfort (Bed Quality): 5/5 + Food (Breakfast Quality): 4/5 + Location: 4/5 + Hotel Interior: 3.5/5 + Gym: 3.5/5 =Value for Money: 2/5 (€450) The bad stuff: - Small and unremarkable room. - Located in a dark corner, small windows overlooking the opposite side of the courtyard. - Tiny balcony facing a window from another room 3 meter away, making it unusable. - The seating area was not separated, with a sofa placed next to the bed. - The bathtub, aged and stained, didn't invite use, raising questions about its necessity. - A failed shower design (with an instruction manual how to operate it) is beyond my comments… In summary, room 418 should not be in the Junior Suite category - avoid it. While certain aspects like the bed quality and breakfast (especially the fresh bread) were great, it was not worth paying premium - lower room categories will likely give you all the same benefits. Overall, there are so many much better hotels in Stockholm in that price category like Berns, At Six, Radisson Strand that I would recommend instead.

My favourite hotel
I travel a lot but to stay at the same hotel multiple times is a first for me. Everything from the friendliness of the staff, to the room with an amazing comfy and clean bed (and even the epic breakfast every morning) is perfect. It is my favourite hotel and I cannot wait to be back!

Overall very pleased with the hotel, the location and proximity to city centre, the ease of access from the airport and central train station. Very good value. Generally very clean but we did notice some whiskers from shaving on the bathroom floor when we arrived and the shower flooded out onto the bathroom floor when we used it. There was also a small nail sticking up in the floor. The Queen room was quite small which was not a problem for us, just don't expect it to be huge. Also found someone else's t-shirt in the closet. Very nicely decorated and comfortable though. There is a very charming old lift but it can only take 3 people so check out can take a while if you have big cases. The breakfast included within the price was very good. Midday checkout as standard was very handy. Super close to city centre, great transport links, really friendly and helpful staff. One downside which is not a criticism of the hotel itself, there is some sort of very loud bar nearby and we could hear music until 2am/3am. I usually fall asleep the second I'm in bed but our second night it kept me up. Traffic can be noisy at night, but we were at the front of the building. Overall would definitely recommend it - it passes the "Would we stay there again?" test and most of the drawbacks are minor overall. A definite 4 out of 5 stars.

The most spacious room, large windows and super large cozy bed. Loved the comfort of this hotel. The soaps are lovely quality. Only drawback was that I kept getting lost along the hallways/elevators. Perfect location. Really wonderful hotel and highly recommend!!

I liked everything but the staff -- they were young and rather rude. Gave the impression that they wanted to be elsewhere or on their phones. Otherwise, the hotel is well situated to shopping (Zara is around the corner), restaurants and the hop on hop off bus. And a 7-11 is ear by. Great walking everywhere. Also terrific breakfast. Hidden find.

It was my very first visit to Sweden and I couldn't think of a better place to stay in! The Sparrow Hotel was clean, accommodating, and very nice to stay in as a solo female traveller. The staff made me feel welcome and the free breakfast buffet was a delight to take part in every morning. Not to mention that the hotel had a charming French aesthetic! I loved that the hotel was located in an area where everything was accessible within walking distance (the restaurants, shops, and train transportation). You can even walk to The Royal Palace and Gamla Stan areas in twenty to thirty minutes! I also loved that there is a nice park located behind the hotel to take a morning stroll and start the day after breakfast - I found the sights of nature very welcoming. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there and hope to come back when I decide to visit Sweden again. Tack så mycket!

A lovely stay
Lovely helpful staff. Amazing wine list in the Bistro. Only puzzle is why cheap plastic seats on the toilet and bed linen from China (made in PRC) instead of Frette, when the rest is so lovely and oozes of a grand old house with parquet flooring and stuck ceiling. Also don't expect any early check-in. You won't get it..

The Sparrow occupies a lovely old building that retains its 19th-century charm, and yet offers its guests all the most modern conveniences. The daily breakfast is simply delicious. The main elevator is a classic, simply beautiful old-fashioned lift that exudes charm. There are fine touches, such as Occitaine amenity baskets in the bathrooms. , The location is perfect, right in the heart of Central Stockholm, but without the noise of discoteques, etc. There are plenty of excellent restaurants close-by, great shopping opportunities, and Stockholm's main harbor a mere 10 minutes away. I didn't enjoy the opportunity of enjoying the The Bistro as it was closed on Sunday and Monday, but that will be for a trip in the future. Overall, the Sparrow is a fine, moderate-sized hotel that has retained its 19th-century charm. The service is excellent, and guests are made to feel welcome from the moment they enter this understated gem of a hotel. Stay here! You'll enjoy it.

The property is a nicely appointed and nicely maintained hotel that lives up to the "boutique" category in atmosphere and quality. It's in a great location with easy access to transportation and also well-located for walking to restaurants and down to the water. The front desk staff are helpful and respectful. All in all I found them very professional, helpful, and accommodating. I stayed in a "superior double" room - king bed, walkout door to a small balcony facing the street, two comfortable chairs and a little desk, a safe, minibar, robes and slippers, the usual bathroom amenities in the very stylish bathroom. My only complaint is the shower. No matter what I did the water leaked under the shower door every time. That said, I always had an extra towel to mop it up so it wasn't a big deal. The breakfast room is very pleasant and the breakfast had lots of selection and really good food, from fresh fruit and salad, pastries, bread, some hot things that I didn't have, cold cuts and cheeses, and several vegan, gluten free, and lactose free options including oat milk, vegan cheese, vegan overnight oats, and vegan yogurt. As a vegan I really appreciated having sufficient options each day. The free coffee with breakfast is pretty awful but for a few dollars I had a delicious oat cappuccino each day. I would definitely go back and highly recommend it for a good stay in Stockholm.
