This hotel has a mouse infestation! The first night we were there we heard a snap and then screeching. A mouse had been trapped in a mousetrap under the refrigerator. It was alive and kept thrashing about. They did not have maintenance available and so put us in a different (smaller room). Close inspection revealed mouse traps hidden around that room as well. Apparently, this is a problem they are well aware of. Reception was rude when I asked at check out for at least a refund in the price between the larger room that I paid for and the smaller room that I ended up staying in. They have not even offered to refund that or responded to my requests to do so. The purported breakfast they offer was pretty much non-existent (they put out enough for about 5 guests) and the milk was chunky.

The room was definitely not cleaned up before we stayed. The floor was super sticky and there was a lot of dirt on the countertops and in the bathroom. A lot of appliances and features in the room were broken and barely hanging onto their seam.

This hotel smells horrible between the nonstop industrial strength air freshener and the fact that the guests in the next room fried fish from 10 in morning until 10 at night made it unbearable had to hold my breath every time I left the room I like cats but free roaming cats in a hotel is really weird

The room was rather “aged”, but clean and had all the necessary accommodations. Front desk lady was friendly and knowledgable. Parking was easy and a plenty of places to eat nearby.

Our king suite was very clean and comfy!!! But the jacuzzi tub didn’t work. The remotes didn’t work. There’s no ice machine annnnnd breakfast weak. No waffles and watery luke warm coffee.

If budget is your only issue, then consider this hotel. The lobby and the room smelled like 409 cleaner. The hotel itself is clean, but it needs a serious refresh. The bathroom was very clean.

Staff were great. Ready to assist any needs. The property is very dated. You can hear through the walls. Refrigerator was noisy. Internet was terrible. Water pressure terrible. Very little in the way of cooking utensils, so dining in was difficult.

I know that this place has some bad reviews, but we stayed last night and I wanted to weigh in. First off, the cats who live in the lobby were an absolute delight. I want to highlight that they were sweet and kind and it was adorable to watch the cats roaming around mixing with other folks staying at the hotel. Both clerks at the front - both evening and morning - were so kind, professional, and helpful! We got a large suite and when I say large, I mean it was VERY large. One caveat is that if you’re sleeping in the living room on the pull-out couch, it can get very cold at night, so if you’re sleeping in the living room be sure to ask for multiple blankets. It would be great if the property would supply more blankets in the room rather than us having to go out and ask, but I have a feeling that over time things will even out for them and they will be a little more consistent with that. Parking is a little dicey underneath the hotel, but the garage door seems secure – it’s important to note that they do not guarantee your property in the garage at all and you park there at your own risk. The property itself is clearly under renovation, but the art deco style, and the furnishings are nice. We will try this place again, since I think this place will look and feel a lot better once renovations are complete, but the value is really great for the money. Area seems safe. Police station across the way. All in all.. decent place! If anything, go for the cats!

They requested a $300 deposit which was never communicated prior to my stay. The first room I had smelled terrible and the lights in the bed room didn’t work. I received another room and then I went to turn on the water in the bathroom and it came out black. Actual black water. I immediately went to check out. I did not stay at this place. So disappointed.

Don't believe the bad reviews.
For some reason this hotel gets bad reviews. I have stayed here numerous times, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are updated and spacious. While the exterior looks run down, the rooms are nice. Location is great. I will stay here again the next time I am in town.

The staff was wonderful, Manuel the property manager was very helpful , gracious. A room on the 7th floor played loud music, would not turn it down. I had had enough and moved to a different hotel. The place was dirty, nothing worked, way overpriced . Would not recommend it.

The property is in definite need of renvovations, its so outdated! I could not get over the amount of cocking that was used. The parking garage was a little sketchy. Only thing there was for breakfast was cereal and bagels. The only thing i liked was that it was spacious and the hotel cats hanging out that were friendly.

When I arrived to the hotel, there was a big fight with multiple people. The clerk did not seemed phased. She was able to call them by their name. She even told one of the girls “one of the guest called the cops, I need you to calm down.” It sounds like they were residents and not guess. I didn’t feel safe at the hotel. The room’s decorations was underwhelming. It didn’t look like an hotel. It look like someone’s residence. I checked out, I did not stay.

This is hands-down the worst hotel I have ever experienced, in every regard. From the dilapidated building, the mold and dirt in the rooms, to the unhelpful staff who seem to not care much about any aspect of what happens in the hotel. Avoid this place.

The space was big, like the size of an apartment. It had been renovated but could use some more work which it appeared they were doing. They did have parking which was helpful. There was no coffee left on the breakfast table so do not count on eating there.

The only real thing that I liked during my stay was the jacuzzi in the room. What I didn’t like was the complimentary breakfast with nothing but bagels and cereal and yogurt. And apparently the breakfast hours were from 6:00-10:00. I came down at 7:00 and there wasn’t anymore bagels or orange juice. My complaint is if your complimentary breakfast is at certain hours you should have food available until it’s closed. That wasn’t the case during my stay. The cabinets in the kitchen are falling off the hinges and a lot of work needs to be done to help upgrade the suites. I also had problems with the toilet as well. I am not satisfied with my stay. I spent a lot of money for my stay and I know I didn’t get my monies worth. Your front desk supervisor Tara was outstanding and was very professional along with your 2nd and 3rd shift personnel as well. Your housekeepers did a fantastic job and assisted my family when they needed it. A little paint in the rooms would also make it look a lot better and some extra care would be great. I don’t see myself ever staying there again. I was born in Stamford and lived about 30 years of my life there. I do hope that my review will help someone to see how much work truly needs to be done to your suites. The money that’s being paid to stay there should be used to make it a more enjoyable and memorable stay which was not done on my part. I will not recommend anyone to stay there and to spend there money elsewhere.
