Good day! Thank you for sharing your experience. I apologize your stay did not meet your expectations. As you mentioned, we are currently undergoing a renovation. As we Evolve and Improve, there are specific areas of the hotel that are under construction, as well as the front entrance. We have a good deal of signage around the building to help our guests navigate. It looks more intimidating than it actually is, and we work to minimize any impact on the sleep and stay quality for our guests. Work is only performed between the hours of 9am-6pm while the majority of our guests are out of the hotel. Notification of our renovation is provided during the booking window on our Marriott.com site, as required by Marriott. As you used a third-party site, we are not responsible for the data they do/do not provide. Our fitness center is and has remained open durning our renovation and there was nothing to keep you from utilizing that area. This property has not offered or advertised a pool in over 18 months. This area is evolving into an enhanced fitness center.

Thin walls
While the location and service were great for our trip, the thin walls were a major problem. A guy doing an early Zoom sounded like he was in our room. The guy on the other side of us having a conversation sounded like he was in our bathroom. Probably the thinnest walls of any hotel I have ever stayed at, and I won't stay there again. We had to go to Target to buy a fan to create white noise to hopefully drown out the other guests. Nobody was doing anything other than just normal stuff, but I could hear it all clearly.

Your room location on the Terrace level was far from where any work was being done.The sidewalks were pre-treated prior to the snow and again later that afternoon. The property is old. Room we stayed needs new carpet, fresh paint. It does not reflect the area that is usually a high end area in St. Louis. I chooses this area because I know this area when I live here 27 years ago. I am somewhat disappointed.

Pleasant—will stay at Courtyard again
Check in was very quick and easy, room was spotless and incredibly comfortable, and my stay was overall quite pleasant. The halls were quiet, and I got a great night’s sleep.

It was under construction but it did not notice before on the website. My room was not done. The maids seemed to just stop servicing the rooms at a certain time. The hotel charged me more than the rate on their website.

Remodeling and entire property is not accessible. The hallway to our room was completely dark and just open rooms that were under construction. We had to park in the back of the hotel and walk in a back door that was not well lit. There were tarps hanging all around the inside and we did not feel safe. Rooms are beyond outdated so the renovation is needed.

Clean and Comfortable
The check-in process was seamless and quick. The staff was friendly. The hotel lobby and hallways were clean and smelled good. My room was clean and at a comfortable temperature upon arrival. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were terrible, but I never expect hotel pillows to be comfortable.

Ok but not worth the upgraded price
It was good not great. Paid for a king with sofa. When I arrived they were going to put me in a 2 queen room. When I showed them the room I booked they put me in a handicap accessible king with no couch. Just a little disappointed

It was perfect! One of the best places I’ve stayed in a while. Even under construction it was clean and the updates are going to make it even better. This will be my go to hotel when I’m in this area. The beautiful courtyard makes you feel like more of a resort than a hotel.

Good pit stop
Using as a pit stop for a longer trip - check in was super fast and a breeze. Warned me about construction, but didn’t hear any of it, they put me on the 1st floor and renovation started at 9am on the 3rd floor. I was gone before that anyway. However, our room, you could tell was just recently renovated. Clean, bed and pillows were great- a little stuffy as the A/C was off - the bathroom still had a roll of painters tape, a pile of construction dust at the threshold from the room to the bathroom - and remnants of construction on the shower head and top of tub - plus the floor was dusty - like swept and clean, but not mopped. I didn’t mind, as it made me feel like home (I’m in construction) and luckily my wife was too tired to care or noticed.she was the ecstatic about how comfy the bed was. All and all a great nights sleep and if we ever drive through again - we’d stay there again.

They are remodeling- great idea! Our thermostat had 2 choices freezing Or heat- hopefully the temperature gets renovated as well .we weren’t in room much- out with family .

Neat and tidy. Very clean. There was some construction happening on top floor which is positive for the future. It’s possible that the AC filter in our room needs to be replaced as I have a hypersensitivity to dust and developed a sinus infection over the course of three days. Could have been other allergens from trees pollen also. Other than that a great stay overall.
