The property is located across the street from the pier and beach access. It's next to a Circle K, whoch was convenient fir coffee, snacks, drinks, etc. It's location is perfect for waking to several different restaurants and bars. The indoor pool was really nice.

We stayed 2 nights. The close proximity to the beach was a great experience. The rooms was clean but lacking some simple furnishings such as a closet to hang clothes in. All the appliances functioned well. The trash pickup was a little disturbing at 5:30am but I know the Regency folks can’t control that.

My husband and I spent 3 nights and were on the go most of the time. It was basically a place to sleep and shower while there. It was clean overall. I don't think the floor gets mopped often because we walked around room barefoot and our feet got a little dirty. Plus we only got housekeeping the day before checkout but they did not replenish soap. We probably could have things taken care of but expect the hotel to take care of those things without a request. We would stay there again but request services that were lacking.

Other than nit having breakfast, we appreciated the faur rate and clean rooms. We would recommend elevator maintenance for the 3-4 times button pressed to engage lift. The handrails on the stairs, sanitizer at the ends, clothes hangers in the room. We indeed will return, but critiquing is our human trait.

Best value on the beach! Having said that, we had to request a room change because our room wasn't clean. There were pretzel pieces on the floor, stains on the headboards, and the toilet was dirty. Our second room was better, but still lacking (the remote control for the TV was filthy, and the microwave wasn't clean). The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and apologetic about the situation. You can't beat the location!!! Right across from the pier and beach access, walking distance to shops and restaurants, and a quick drive to downtown St. Augustine. If you are just looking for a place to sleep for a night or two and want to save your money, this is a good choice. It's not the cleanest most comfortable place, but other hotels in the same area are almost double the price.

For the price and location you can't beat this property. Our only issue was the fact that when we checked in we were asked if we were part of the wedding party. When we told them we were not they still put us right in between the other two rooms who were part of the party....and I do mean party. They were sitting right outside their room right next to ours loudly partying until well after 10 pm. There was plenty of other rooms that they could have put us in that were available at the facility so we didn't have to be next to them.

The Regency was a pleasant surprise. I chose it because of the highly rated reviews, which i found to be very accurate. The cost was very fair and the front desk ladies were professional and helpful. The only reason i didn't give a 5 star rating was because the toilet was not anchored to the floor.

Excellent location and price is right, however, they need to clean their floors. I was barefoot in the room and my feet were black from lack of mopping the floors. Also the nightstands had sticky stuff on them. But the sink, tub, and toilet seemed clean.

Convenient to many restaurants and the pier. Downfall was it appears like their are permanent residents living there. And they were selling parking spots for the locat craft fair and made it difficult for us to park.
