"We were very pleasantly surprised at this hotel for the price. It's clean and well maintained, and we were greeted by a really informative and engaged person a the front desk. Our only issue was hearing heavy-footed children run around in the room above us at 6am."

"They enforce a strict 48-hour cancellation policy, then make it impossible to cancel by never answering the phone. Busy signal. Every. Single. Time. By the time a human finally picked up on a non-published number I had to get from Expedia, my cancellation window had passed and when I asked for an exception, they admitted they have phone problems and refused anyway. So they acknowledge their phones are broken, they know it stops guests from canceling on time, and they keep your money anyway. That's not a policy, it's a scam dressed up as fine print. Don't book here. To them you're not a guest, you're a payment they've already pocketed. Take your business somewhere that picks up the phone and treats people decently."

"The property is exactly what it looks like in the pictures. We really enjoyed making a fire and sitting outside. If you book a cabin, pay close attention to waterfront or water view. We booked water view and didn't realize. We asked to upgrade to one of the 4 empty waterfront cabins but were told it would be a 161 dollar upcharge! We didn't feel like any cabin should be 161 dollars let alone an upgrade. It's clean, they obviously care deeply about the property but we left feeling like it was lacking."

"What I did not like about the property was that we were promised a non-smoking room and it was a smoking room. The staff said it was supposedly a non-smoking room but my nose knew differently. Additionally, we were informed that we would be breakfast for two. We had a different idea about that. Instant food in the front hall with no place to sit is not our idea of a breakfast. However, that was not their fault, rather, Expedia for advertising it that way, or at least with not a better explanation. Otherwise, the shower was great and the sleep wasn’t too bad. Proximity to town was good and I walked home from dinner. That was nice. Some great restaurants in town and the boardwalk is nice. The picture online of the hotel is very deceiving. Don’t be taken in by the curve and the gold."

"We were travelling with our dog and were changed to a pet-friendly room that was actually an upgrade with a partial ocean view. Room was more of a condo than a hotel room. A nice surprise. Frig was a bit smaller than other motels we stayed at during our trip but we were on the trip's last leg to not an issue. Would stay again."
