I visit Lake Tahoe often and I have stayed at this property when it was Embassy suites. The new owners chose to, in all likelihood, pay a royalty to the Jimmy Buffett estate to theme their new hotel. However, I wish they had used the money to fix the potholes, service the elevators, and return to the breakfast. It is obvious that they are now having trouble paying for just routine maintenance. In order to get their gross revenue per booking up there are lots of up charges… I booked through Expedia for a 215 rate. By the time I had received my bill from Expedia and paid up charges at the hotel it added another $120 plus to my bill. I won’t be doing this again!

Overall, very nice, rooms remodeled and done well. Clean inside the property, right at state line - cross the small driveway and you are in Stateline Nevada and into Harrahs Casino - lots of options inside there and nearby

Not sure why this place gets mediocre reviews on Yelp. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room are big and beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Hotel is conveniently located to just about everything. The steakhouse was beautiful. We had a delicious cocktail at the bar and wished we would have had dinner there. Instead, we ate at Landshark. Just apps and drinks and they weren't anything special. We visited the Chill bar for a cocktail and ended up hanging out for hours. The bartender, Troy, was amazing. Funny, friendly and made great cocktails. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are super nice and the common area is awesome. Overall it was a great stay. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of is the housekeeping services default to “light cleaning” — which means your coffee and consumables (including shampoo, soaps, etc.) won’t be re-stocked unless you specifically request it. Kinda sucked to learn about that the hard way. Other than that, it’s a very nice hotel with friendly staff and great atmosphere.
