The cottages are so run down. The place is basically a dump and I will never stay there again and would never recommend this place to anyone. The windows were filthy, the doors didn’t close properly, there were earwigs everywhere. The grounds are so pretty and the view is so nice that it’s a shame that no one has done anything about the disgusting accommodations.

I'm so sorry about your stay. We try yearly to do upgrades but sometimes some things fall through the cracks, Hence why we advertise as rustic. I will definitely take your advice and change out the doors and windowsills if possible in the spring! I appreciate your feedback and will definitely take it under advisement.

Great views, poor breakfast
Supplied continental breakfast left much to be desired. A single cup coffee maker to make coffee, tea, and hot water for oatmeal is grossly inadequate for a breakfast bar. Zero protein with continental breakfast. Three of us, two yoghurts... Views were great, people were friendly and helpful.

The property was right on the water and was a very pretty view. They had just got over hurricane Dorian so they only had electricity back the night before we got there. The room was unique and clean but old and dated as were the bedding.

The pool was great. Service at the restaurant was a little slow, but the food was good. Very friendly and accommodating. Wifi was hit and miss depending on where you were on the property.

Love the kitchen suite Easy to clean Part of Clothes rack is in the way of the tv Can be move Great view nice garden near the restaurant Fabulous plant Need more hooks for dishes towels Excellent service by the lady at breakfast time Good fresh fruit Scramble Eggs tasteless But good variety of bread and excellent muffins to make toast and oatmel etc Newly renovated restaurant is well done contemporary look navy blue fresh plants and boat decoration. Room can have more furniture to put your suitcase on racks and need a side table to one side of the bed. Old furniture in the suite. Comfortable Carrying luggage need time as the car is park 30 feet away from our front door. It's better to move your car in the back water entrance Night was quiet They have a fire place outside handy to meet other guest Little cottage for kids with fun entertainment Would love to see local artist painting in the room nothing in the wall Information on radio and TV local station can ne handy Note on the breakfasts time o. The room will be good with I do of the local area in the room Big old jacuzzi bath. Jacuzzi not working but bah is huge and deep. Need power support bar. Carefully to step in and out for short or elderly people. No smell of chlorine so great bath experience. We like our stay

Great hoel, great location
Located right on Smith's Cove, a few minutes drive to small town of Digby for stores, gas and waterfront restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff, hiking trails nearby. Beautiful view of the Cove. We had a comfortable room with a full kitchen. There's a restaurant on-site for breakfast and dinners.

We were Initially allocated an inappropriate room. We are a family of four and were sent to a small "lodge" with one double bed. We were then sent to a dilapidated house and given a two bedroom apartment on the top floor (no.35). This had faulty sash windows propped open with bits of old wood, a broken stair gate at the top of a dangerous staircase (we have a crawling infant), and the shabby interior clearly hadn't been updated for decades. The restaurant was fine and the outside pool area was pleasant. I suspect there is a reason that they make guests pay on arrival before they've seen their accommodation.

A perfect place for one night, or one week, or more. Perfectly appointed rooms and wonderful on-site facilities. We had a great dinner with superb service. Great spot for the water or to enjoy nature's splendor. VERY friendly staff. Gladly recommended to anyone.

Definitely a place to relax!
This is definitely a rustic place to stay. The rooms are knotty pine so you have a definite cabin-like feeling. The grounds are endless with an easy walk down to beach or just go to the overlook area to watch the incredible tides come and go. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of "to dos" in the area.

the hotel had a beautiful location right on Smith's cove. The rooms were adequate with a lodgey theme. It was spread out a bit and you had to walk some distance to the restaurant or pool depending on which building you were in.

Wir hatten mit Frühstück gebucht, da die Anlage aber nicht ausgelastet war, haben wir (zum gleichen Preis / kein Nachlass) ein "Frühstück" am Vorabend in das Apartment gestellt bekommen. Es gab keinerlei Belag für das Brot und das aufgeschnittene Obst schmeckte am nächsten Morgen nicht mehr.

Cottage piccolo leggermente distante dal resto del villaggio,con bella vista sulla baia e giardino intorno che però era poco curato(radici,sassi,erba alta) e quindi poco sfruttabile.Peccato! All'interno il pavimento scricchiolava ad ogni passo,idem porta del bagno,la resistenza del riscaldamento che faceva rumore cadenzato una volta partito di notte..peccato anche qui.Colazione tutto sommato buona anche se solo dolce.Il posto è comodo per girare la Annapolis Valley,speravo visto il prezzo un po meglio
