“It's everything that you would expect... and more.”
From the time we arrived by limousine, escorted to our suite, staff made certain that we were settled and confortable - what a start to our stay. Facilities, service, friendliness, efficient and courteous staff - it is all second to none.
“Luxury from a bygone age!”
What a fantastic hotel, can't wait to return!
We had a tremendously wonderful experience at Raffles.
“The best hotel in the world”
Quite simply it can't get any better the Raffles Hotel, Singapore. Quality & Service are the keywords in everything they do. All of the staff are excellent in every department and we recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Best hotel in the world”
If you want to experience both colonialism and luxury, this hotel does not disappoint. Even if you don't stay there, just go and see it. The Long Bar, the court gardens and the shops within the grounds are well worth visitng. And of course, its almost law that you have a Singapore Sling! I stayed 3 nights and did not want to leave. Ever. You even have a butler on call if you want......... What more can you ask for!
“One of the great hotels of the world!”
Like going back to another era. See it before it gives way to all the high rises of Singapore.
“The only place to stay when in Singapore”
Try English High Tea in the Bar & Billiards Room at Raffles Hotel for pure colonial decadence.
“Better than its deservedly good reputation”
We were welcomed as if we were family, looked after until our room was ready as we arrived before check in time! The suite was well furnished and arranged. Most things we could wish for were already in the room. If it wasn't our butler was instantly there to help! The bed and linen were excellent, the turn down service was discretely performed, replacement towels were provide at the same time if we had already used them during the day. All in all, expensive perhaps but excellent value for money.
“Raffles - simply unique!”
It is quite simply, an experience not to be missed. When booking however, try and arrange a suite (room) on the first floor. The hotel is a tourist attraction and if you prefer complete privacy, first floor suites allow you to get around the hotel without coming into the public access areas. It's not a major issue - just nicer!
“Privileged to have stayed”
The hotel staff could not be any friendlier, the food is excellent, the rooms are very comfortable as well as having the history of ethier some one famous or of nobilty having stayed here before you. For the avarage man on the street like me it is a privilege to have stayed.
