Handy location for airport, eats and taxis
I had stayed at this hotel previously and chose it this time because I knew it offered me value for money. It now has now owners ( I believe) and a new name - the Garden Terrace. The owners and staff are friendly and efficient and seem to be working hard to upgrade the place.

No sleep at all.
No direct shuttle. Did not say anything about the shuttle from the airport taking two and a half hours for the same price as a 6 minute taxi. Had to change rooms 3 times but they got pergressivly worse. Fist was an AC unit that was loud. Second stunk and had no windows. Did not even try AC. Third rooms AC was louder than the first. Was told by the desk clerk that was normal and I was unreasonable. He could not be bothered further as he was way into his on line videos. I ended up walking around the neighborhood until it was time to get a cab to the airport. Could not even sit and relax in the room as the AC was whistling like a soprano freight train.

Dirty, stained towels
Been staying at this hotel since 2011 but cleanliness of towels provided very dissappointing for the first time. Dirty, stained towels were provided. What more to say??

Terrible + horrible front desk staff
The attitude of the front desk staff is like we owe them a living. First impression already down the drain. When i got back the deposit, i said thank you and good bye, the counter staff just kept looking at the monitor. Talk about the deposit, dont understand when i had paid fully online. The towels were paper thin. Loose coloured threads on bed sheet, probably it was not new sheet. I will never stay there again even if it is free.

Small room but it's Ok.
We booked a room for 2 plus my 1 year old baby for Oct 1, 2016. Room is small but it's enough for us. Toilet/bathroom isn't that small like what I read on some reviews. My overall rate is good. The room is clean as well as the toilet.

Dirty sheets.
I stayed for 2days . First day the bed sheet and pillow case they did not change. It stinks. And dirty. As I check in around 10pm the room make up was not there any more. I am not able to sleep for the whole night. On the second day they change my sheets new as I can smell the new sheets freshness. Unbelievable....

room was tiny and old and a/c noisy, good thing was that there was a terrace just next to it. Also the staff were accommodating once I told them what I needed. Also a fantastic cheap café two doors away where the locals eat and a sweet café right next door that sells good coffee.

You pay for what you get
There is a stinky smell along the corridor and in the room. I need to switch on the aircon to full blast to remove that smell and cos there is a top empty glass which the sunlight comes into the room that makes it very warm. The room is too small and crampy.

I'm an 84 year old female traveller and I had booked a single room at the hotel. When I arrived there I was unhappy with the room because it was too far away from the lift for me. I asked for a change of room but was told that there were no more suitable single rooms available. But once they realised that this situation was a real problem for me, they did their best to accommodate me for which I am very grateful because they ended up upgrading me to a double room very close to the lift at no extra cost. I am very impressed by their professionalism but even more by their kindness. Thank you very much to the management and staff, especially Raymond who was extremely helpful.

Cigarette smoke in room
Room was filled with cigarette smoke at check-in. Next night, cigarette smoke filled the room once again and coming through the air-conditioning system. Changed room, once again cigarette smoke filled the room in the early hours of the morning. Changed room once again. And again, room was filled with cigarette smoke. Checked out on the 3rd day after discussing the problem with hotel staff and Enzo, the hotel manager agreed to not charge for the remaining two nights but the refund to be made through Expedia.

This is basic accommodation, with a nice bit of style. If a low rate is available, it's an alternative to staying at Changi. Small rooms and required S$50 cash deposit. Nice local area. This property is tolerable for a short stay, between flights (as in overnight).

Reasonably priced budget hotel. The rooms were small and stay in a room away from the road. Rooms in the front get all the traffic noise from the road.

Overall Stay
I rate my stay as average to below average. The room size is quite small and windowless where i was staying and i felt quite suffocating. Another concern is the emergency passage which is confusing for guests during emergency.The corridors are dimly lighted and narrow. The queen size bed is not the regular queen size but it is tailored made size to fit the room. The room are not sound proofed and outside noises are heard very clearly. Overall, my stay with this hotel is not comfortable and i will not choose this hotel for my future stay.

Staff moved us to a family room - adequate except faulty air conditioner and temperatures set very cold - made for a sleepless night - either sweating under a duna or freezing under a sheet which we had to ask for..

The Room was haunted! The one next to the common toilet on level 2 near the traffic junction. My friend checked out the next morning after one frightful night. She was supposed to stay for 3 nights from 14 January onwards.

Noisy and Smelly room
The location is good, close to the airport. But the room is smelly and very noisy that even after midnight so many shouting and yelling heard from outside. Tv is not working properly and ac is a bit noisy as well. I won't recommend this if you want a night stay to rest for the next flight.

For the price, it was ok for a few hours
We crashed here after flying in at 1:15AM and left early the next morning for a walking tour and to our more "permanent" hotel. We pre booked and upon arrival, they had our reservation and we were able to check in relatively easily. The room was on the second floor up the elevator. It was small, no windows, large bed, had a separate washroom/shower area and a TV. They also provided us two water bottles, which was nice. The washroom had quite a bit of black mold in it. For the price (<$70 CAD), I would say it was worth it as a shorty term place to crash, but I would definitely not want to stay there for much longer.
