Nice location and very accessible. AC did not work and refrigerator was not working. That was replaced and a fan was brought in to help with lack of AC for whatever reason.

One of the best hotels in China
I travel the world, and I stay as much as I can at IHG holiday inns. The one in shijiazhuang is one of my favorite. This three stay is for my niece Ni, who teaches near the city. She insisted that I write a good review for her since she enjoyed the stay enormously, she especially wants me to thank the housekeeping lady Ms. 王淑爽， Ms. Wong was kind and friendly and took very good care of my niece, so, I’d like to thank her for it.

I wish it'd be better.
I am very fond of this holiday inn, I always reserve this hotel when I visit shijiazhuang , and I made numerous reservations for my daughter as well when she has business in the city. It had pleased me all these years. However, this time it disappointed me, on the second day of the stay, there's no water, the hotel gave me a key card for another room to do the clean up, yet, there's no hot water, and the day when I checked out, there's still no hot water, and when I turn on the hot water faucet, the water came out brown. I was hoping the hotel would offer some type of compensation but to no avail. I use holiday inn hotels almost any where I go around the world, this is the first time I encountered the less than satisfactory experience.

The staff asked me to leave this hotel earlier !!
Overall very good hotel. A little lower standard than other Holliday Inn but good. Breakfast is 5 stars. But my stay was ruined this morning when around 10:30 AM the reception called my room and very nervously asked me to checkout immediately because they already checked in someone else minutes ago ( !!!!). I was scared and told them that was impossible to happens and to leave the room so quickly also impossible. The check out time is 12:00. Then she said that because the guests are from government I must obey and leave asap. I was more scared (afraid to be arrested or something) but insisted because it was really impossible to leave so quickly and finally they understood could stay until the checkout time. But when I opened my door to leave there was a policeman starring me and I was scared once again.During checkout the I asked to talk with the manager and complained and she apologized. So I advise everyone that stay in this hotel to upon check in ask of there is some event of government planned and if the foreign guest will be forced to leave earlier (!!!) Otherwise no one will tell you before and I and this situation could repeat with you.If they explained me this situation upon check-in, and maybe offer some compensation for the inconvenience (could be a free drink,etc) I will be able to cooperate. But 10:30 just after breakfast, without a shower and with all my belongings not ready yet how could I leave immediately as they DEMANDED ? Ruined the stay.

The room is like a typical holiday inn. There is nothing special to it. You should expect typical holiday inn standards which is clean and comfortable. However, in Shijiazhuang, the similar price can probably get you to better hotel such as hilton. Holiday inn was $66 per night and hilton was $83 per night for me. I deeply regret not choose hilton. This holiday inn is slightly dated and its real lobby is on 6th floor. The lobby isn’t fancy at all. But I have no complaints.

good value and a convenient place to stay
it’s the hotel i always stay when i visit the city. it’s a comfortable and roomy place connected to a shopping mall, the lobby/check- in in on 7th floor. there are plenty eateries on the top floor in the mall, so, you never have to be exposed to the elements if you choose not to.

Beautiful hotel and the staff speak English. if you go to China, this is the biggest problem, just imagen you can't order food, you can't ask for a taxi, you can't ask the staff where to go etc. I will stay again many times, Thank You!!!

Staffs are friendly. Location is good. Got upgraded to a superior room which is quite spacious. Overall hotel condition is a bit worn out. Room was facing the main road receiving direct sunlight during the day making it too warm. It was Winter and the air conditioner gave only heated air and was not helping at all. Front desk was not very efficient and it took quite a while to check in. Food variety is good yet the environment just so so. Will look for alternative next time if coming to Shijiazhuang.

Good hotel with reasonable rates.
It is a hotel that is well managed, good clean room, great bath room with both shower and tub. It is located under the same roof of a decent sized shopping mall, restaurants, theater all there. I like it because it is a 10 Yuan taxi ride from the high speed train station to the hotel. Buffet style breakfast is abundant and good. I stay there whenever I am in the city of Shijiazhuang.

a well appointed hotel with reasonable rate.
it was all around a pleasant stay. room is large and comfortable, great bath room with both bath tub and shower stall( the deluxe rooms). friendly and capable reception desk. a shopping mall and food court below. one thing worth mentioning; it is a 10RMB taxi ride from the high speed train station, as most travelers know, it is much easier and comfortable to go between Beijing and Shijiazhuong via high speed train than flying.

Great Western style hotel
The only reason I gave the hotel 4 for comfort was that we arrived in the first week of spring and the air conditioning had not been turned on. After phoning the front desk we had a fan within minutes. we stayed in this hotel a few days later and the air conditioning was on :-) Otherwise it was great. Especially having stayed in some Chinese style hotels in country areas, they give you a whole new perspective on a comfortable bed and a non smoking room. the food choices for breakfast were excellent, whatever you preference it was available.

this was my fifth stay at this hotel,this time was bad due to no air conditional at the whole hotel during this season as what was the hotel said, they gave me a stand fan for the night the night.luckily i only stay for a night only,if not i will surely had to change to another hotel.when check out the hotel ,they apologized and gave me a upgrade hotel voucher for next stay.

My very major gripe with my stay at this otherwise acceptable hotel was that I sweltered in my very stuffy room the whole night I was there. I thought at first there was something wrong with the AC in my room, but the person at reception informed me that actually the whole building has no AC from mid-September to mid-November. Although I laud the energy-saving initiative, it's unfortunate that a glass-fronted building such as this one simply becomes like a greenhouse in the warmer climes of late September. I had two more nights booked and cancelled them in favour of going to the marginally more expensive but infinitely better Hilton, whose rooms are cool and balmy.

The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are very nice and the staff very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was the only compliant. Not at the same high level as other Holiday Inn in China. Even my Chinese business partner complained that the Chinese dishes were not great.

Everything was great until I got to the hot the room. The room was 79 to and 80f, the night was terrible.I guess that is normal in China. The service is real great and the people work at the hotel are real friendly.

Great new Hotel
This hotel is nearly brand new. I would certainly stay again as the service as exceptional. My room was large and very nice with a large tv and excellent bathroom. The dinner in the restaurant was also really good with a range of dishes from any countries to try. The breakfast was also very good and cam with the room I booked. The cost was very reasonable for a hotel of this level. The only thing that was a slight problem was finding the hotel, it is on the top half of a large building that we struggled to see from road level, but I have to say it was worth finding!!!!
