Location is ideal otherwise hotel need a revamp
Hotel location was excellent as Dongmen street market is right beside and also the Lao Jie MRT Station (underground) is also on the left side of the hotel building. However hotel need a revamp or reworks (renovation) as most of the ceiling and walls are turning yellowish and strong smell in the toilet and room. Furniture are also very old and creeky.

hotel with amazing location, from hotel lobby to Laojie station only 50m! yes is only 50m! encourage for those who like shopping at Dongmen Street to book this hotel. Hotel overall still acceptable... receptionist & cleaner auntie very friendly.

Great location, but property worn out.
The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the Dongmen shopping district, and a stone throw from the MRT station (exit D next to H&M). However, the hotel is run down and worn out. And the staff are less than friendly. The breakfast menu is targeted at the local clientele only.

This hotel really need some renovation. There are wet stain all over . From 6th floor 1st time we stay. To 2nd floor 2nd time we stay. There are little bugs at one of the room on 2nd floor. Good thing is location. Walk across is the MTR station. Food and shopping is down stairs. Things are very cheap. Mean reason stay is location and price is the only plus.

Good. Location is great. Shopping just walking distance. Don't have to worry about food cause they are very close. Next to a mall. Free breakfast. Free instant coffee package and tea every day. Price. Bad. They only give you 1 key. Bed is little hard. Mold/fungi everywhere. Wall are thin. I can hear the next room conversation. Beware of noseeum. 😰My kids got lots of bites

Below average & breakfast was horrible. The non-smoking room we asked for on the non-smoking floor stunk with smoke. We were supposed to get a city view and THIS (pic attached) was it...are you kidding me! 0.o

Happy Stay
I always love to stay in Sunon hotel because of the location and price. They also offered free breakfast. What has changed now, however, is that they also request identification card for friends to visit

Hotel that is very close by Dongmen and good price
I have stayed Sunon many times already. The major reason is that this hotel is very close by Dongmen. Furthermore, the price is very reasonable. It has a pretty good wifi. Periodically it will be providing free upgrade for a better room

My Favourite
Minimum visit is twice a year and it has always been my favourite hotel for the past 5 years. The staff is friendly and the hotel is easily accessible by subway to most places of interest. It is within walking distance to the Dongmen area (ladies shopping paradise) as well as local eateries.

A pleasant stay
The location of this hotel is very good. The MRT station is just 100 meters away and you can travel 2 stops to LOHU then cross boarder to HK.

We, party of 3 adults n one 23 months old boy, specifically book one family room with One Kingsize bed n one twin bed 3 months ago. However upon check in, reception insist reservation was just One Queen size bed saying we need to sought it out w Hotel.com I try calling Hotel.com but to no avail; As we had a long trip travelling from HK to Shenzhen couple w my 23 months old grandson having fever, we were too tired to argue n change to one Room with two nos super single bed paying extra RMB 60 per night, total RMB 180.

Very old, dirty and noisy place
The building was horrible and didn’t even like to go for breakfast as it just look gross. No idea how did they get 4star rating. Paid for 3 person and only two small twin bed and not comfortable at all and to add another bed cost 152¥. Staff don’t know English and it was very hard to explain them.

“Unfriendly” hotel that needs major overhaul
Room is dirty especially the carpet. Toilet is not clean, toilet seat has stain under the cover. Bath drainage is very slow resulting in water overflow to the outside. Staff is unfriendly.

The staff double booked my room. I walked into a room with a guy already there, very shocked and awkward. The staff eventually took care of it but these kind of things shouldn’t happen in the first place. The breakfast was ok. The bed is VERY hard and uncomfortable, and this comes form a guy who likes his mattress firm. The big plus is the location. Walking distance to everything, surprisingly not noisy at night. Bottom line: You get what you pay for.

Very good hotel, needs room updates, however it was clean, confortable and great location next to metro station and near to pedestrian streets and malls. When we check out we needed a taxi but they told us they couldn't call it for us, we had to go to the street with lugagge and take it by ourselves.

Wifi reduced VALUE score from 4 to 3.
If you do not need wifi, this is a good place to stay. Great location, clean (ok not super) and quiet. However, bad to no wfif is a deal breaker for me. There are too many places to stay that have ok to good wifi. I will not return.
