When we went to our room after check-in, we smelt something a bit strange (not sure if it's rotton wood, mouldy carpet or air coming out from air condition). The staff were very kind in allocating another room to us, but the issue persisted. They suggested that we could keep choosing the room until we're satisfied, but we were a bit tired to do so.
Then the Manager on duty offered us some refreshments (fresh fruit, a bottle of red, and some nuts) as their sincerest apology. Overall we're quite happy with the service and attitude of the hotel staff. As for the condition of the hotel, there's not much anyone can do as it's 10 years' old. I believe once it gets refurbished then the quality of experience shall increase.
