Amazing hotel with great hospitality . The food was amazing , the staff was super friendly. The Animation team added cherries on the top of the cake especially Mohamed, Salma, Sarah, and Jordan.

Nice autumn break during half term.
We had an excellent stay at a decent price too. Metro supermarket was ever so handy just outside as is the atm and phone stores for voda & orange (opposite) & etisalat (next to Metro) had only one complaint which was immediately raised with hotel management and that related to taxi fares being hyper inflated however the hotel manager immediately offered complimentary transport to the airport as a genuine apology so that was resolved too. We enjoyed halal mcDonalds as well not far either. Weather was up to 30degrees so just lovely. Son enjoyed seeing all the fish, crabs & starfish. Would recommend you bring your snorkel gear as perfect opportunity here.

Avoid this hotel, it is a tourist trap!!!
This is literally one of the worst place We have stayed in terms of customer care. Main issue, is that personal just don’t care about customer. For example: A) they don’t answer the reception phone. When we got there and asked them why, employee literally told us “no one answers it”. B) air conditioning in room not working (talking about 35 degrees), despite raising the problem nothing done. C) SPA not available in renovation, GYM not available in renovation… at least there was a pool.

Service was terrible at the hotel. I waited 3 hours for a towel and some blankets and bed sheets. Food was very disappointing. Reception staff were very helpful but not so much the other staff.

The hotel was disappointing and not what I expected. The lobby and main buffet area is hot as the air conditioning wasn't on. The buffet didn't have too much food and not enough of a variety. The room had mosquitoes so they had to spray the room. The beach area was nice, although the water was very low and isn't for going into. You have to go far out on this dock to go into the water to swim. The pool was very crowded but there is another pool on the other side which was low-key and nice to swim in. We ended up staying only two nights instead of four nights and they were nice enough to issue credit back for the two nights we didn't stay.

Great staff, comfortable stay
Our stay at Aurora resorts was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff and animation team were extremely kind and helpful! The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The food was overall good, but there were not too many options. Most dishes were delicious, others were okay. Many compliments for the great service and the the humble and welcoming team. I surely recommend staying at this hotel.

Superb staff and great for divers.
Although a little dated the hotel is in good condition. What is not dated is the excellent service you receive. The staff are wonderful and so welcoming. They can’t do enough for you. We have been back a number of times mainly for the excellent Dive Centre Aqua Nabq but also because of the friendliness of the staff. The buffet style meals are varied and plentiful. As a true beach front hotel in a quieter area of Sharm you can’t go wrong here. The gardens are so well maintained and attract numerous birds too.

Room service is terrible. Had to ask several times for water which hotel is supposed to provide regularly without any request. Didn't provide daily room toiletries like shower gel, shampoo etc unless asked for. Apart those, hotel is very good to stay, food quality is excellent and its location is awesome.

The main problem with the hotel I believe is their security manager, old army guy who believes that the hotel is his army camp so he is treating all customers as soldiers, a wrong hire and shouldn’t stay more there. Unless you were a soldier before believe you will not accepet the stay

Mr Ahmed at front office was very kind and helpful I had free upgrade to deluxe room instead of standard room and it was very nice Animation was great i loved them Beach was low tide but sandy Food need variety and quality and quantity

I stayed in this hotel for few days and generally had very pleasant experience. Though have to say that hotel looked quite old and required some good renovations. What I liked is big size of the room, big green territory, few swimming pools which were clean and very nice, lovely beach, also clean. I really liked the animation team. Though I was not much involved in their activities, but I could see how they work and they did their best to entertain guests. Good job! And special thanks from me to receptionist Mahmoud (I hope I remember the name correctly!) who checked me in upon arrival. He was very polite, friendly and helpful. And generally people in hotel were friendly and helpful. During my stay I visited SPA in the hotel. Nice massage! They have quite big selection of treatments and good facilities. I do recommend to visit them. At the beach there is water sport centre, I had lesson of windserfing and instructior was good. They do offer few different kinds of water activities for different levels of people strating from absolute beginners like me and for those who already have experience and want just to rent the equipement. Also I would like to mention good location of the hotel, just next to it there is supermarket, in front of it there is road with public transportation if necessary, and officies of two mobile companies for those, who want to get local sim card. So my overall impression and experience from stay in Aurora Oriental is very positive and good.

Nice little week away...
Had a nice week away at the Aurora! We were upgraded on arrival which was very kind,the room was lovely and housekeeping looked after us nicely to. The restaurant manager and his team went out of their way to make us welcome everyday as well, the food was a little basic but always something there you could find but not a wow factor. All in all a great little week but not a lot going off in the evening,but there are a few bars in walking distance from the hotel. There was an animation team but they never even spoke to us the worst I've found in any hotel arrogant and rude so if there was entertainment unless you are Italian they will not interact with you which is sad.

We stayed 4 nights and it was great! The 3 pools were very clean with ample sunbeds. The food gave plenty of choice and the breads, soups, salads and desserts were lovely - the mains were a bit less so! The hotel and facilities were very good and the staff were friendly and helpful without exemption. Would readily stay again!

If you're coming here with family\ friends and you didn't book the same hotel-IT'S NOT ALLOWED FOR THEM TO GO FURTHER THAN RECEPTION!To our surprise it is same way in all hotels in Egypt!When we asked the manager why and please show us the paper where it says so,the answer was:"because" and "the paper is not allowed to the public".We paid for the room with Sea view,but to see it you had really band over the balcony and to see a tiny line.We had to extend our stay for 1 night,took the whole evening and morning to get it.The 2nd room we got was a Garden view (didn't matter,we just needed the room),but I'm trying to say-It's NOT a 5 star hotel!Garden view room fits for 3 star hotel.Sea view -4 stars.When we booked hotel-it was said that it has free wifi,but you have to pay for it $5 per hour.Nothing free not even in common areas.If you want to go to different hotel-you have to leave your passport at the gate,same for your guests if you want to bring them over. Well-IT'S ILLEGAL to ask you to leave your passport. It has to stay with you 24\7!No matter what!Copies is the only way out!It took us almost a week of constant fighting with security and the reception.At the end manager said ok to the copies.But all week-if you don't leave the passport-they won't let you\ your guests in+security watches you all the time.I understand the situation in country and that it all for our protection,BUT we're paying and bring money. A bit more respect and care!Skip all that ridiculous situations!

Peace & Quite!
Very good & close to amenities, Hard Rock Cafe, TGI Friday, McD's, Burger King plus lots of other shops right next to the hotel. Private beach lovely food, Nama Bay is 20 minutes away 30-40 Egyptian pounds no more then that.

The stay was ok. The hotel was clean, the pools were nice and the location was good. The all inclusive was very limited no drinks I was keen on. The hotel was very busy and getting a seat was difficult at meal times.

Was good location with good beach and there were 3 pools one for entirtamient and others were quiet and for chilling and the staff were very friendly but the service in restarunt was not good but as overall is good hotel according to price

Awful hotel, tired, and sad
Having stayed at the Hilton in sharks bay, the royal albatross (3times), cleopatra, Laguna vista and the Jaz Mirabel, I also own a property in Nabq, I feel that I have a good idea of Sharm & what to expect, sadly the Oriental has passed it's sell by date, the building itself is tired & in need of a refurb, the food lacks any quality, and is under catered for the amount of guests it houses, only one restaurant for dinner (apart from the small "Italian") that must be booked one day in advance & you can only visit it once per stay!! Compared to let's say the albatross hotel the beach bar is an embarrassment, substandard food & drink (we all know that spirits & wine in Sharm are not the best but you can't even get them at the beach bar,) in every way.

Good hotel
The hotel was nice very clean the staff were very friendly but the chefs could not cook didn't know you could get tough broccoli and the veal was like chewing my leather shoes and they forgot to boil the potatoes.

Has been great. Facilities and staff co-operation and support are amazingly wonderful. We loved our stay for 4 days and looking forward to come again.
