Check-in was smooth and our room was clean. We were informed at checkin that the hotel had experienced a 4-hour power outage earlier in the day. I gave it a few hours and attempted to run the shower and was unsuccessful in getting hot water. I called the front desk and they instructed me to let it run for 5-10 minutes. We recieved a letter in the morning informing us that hot water will not be available. I called the front desk to see if any accomodations were available given the circumstance, such as a small amount of hot water from the kitchen so that our family could take a sponge bath. The staff ingormed me that this was not possible. Clearly, this was beyond the control of the staff. However, their lack of any attempt to make it right left me with some bitterness.
