The people were very nice and I felt safe there . I also slept really good . The tv could use some better channels and there was no coffee and the little package of shampoo was hardly enough to wash my hands with . Towels smelled clean but need to be bleached

The first room they gave me, 114, had the bed not quite fully made with a hair under the sheets, the sink had an already open bar of soap and used towel on it and an item in the trash. They moved me to room 111, which came exactly how I would have expected a regular room to be. If they gave me 111 first they would have gotten 5 *s.

It was extremely noisy. The other guests were yelling at 3:30 am on a week night, the traffic was noisy, the heater was noisy. Even with earplugs it was difficult to sleep. There was hair in the bathtub. The owners did not understand English well (which I am okay with as I am an EL teacher) but they could not answer basic questions such as what I was signing for, if I needed a tag for my car etc.

Sealamp Inn was a get what you paid for experience. It was adequate. The family that runs it were hospitable. It's an older property near the freeway so it was a bit noisy with traffic noise and sirens. The parking lot was a bit cramped. But it was among the most budget conscious properties available.

Great low budget option for Monterey area. Much cheaper to stay and dine in Seaside than rip off tourist prices in Monterey. Lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance. Very near the Monterey Bay bike trail. On a busy street, traffic noise like a California lullaby.

We enjoined our room. Very clean and spacious. Parking lot was small but not terrible. It kind of felt like the staff was breathing down our backs a bit. Two encounters with them. First, we checked in and we’re about to leave to the store when one staff member stopped us and asked where we were going and why weren’t we staying. We didn’t feel like it was any of their business. Second encounter, we were packing our belongings back into the car along with our two young ones. We hadn’t even finished loading when the staff was already asking us for the key card. We weren’t even ready to leave yet and clearly we were still loading up. Besides that, rooms were great.

Surprisingly good! Truthfully I stayed here due to price and a last-minute booking. But I was pleasantly surprised at the facility and friendly staff. I was concerned about the safety of the cargo in my enclosed van, but the owner showed me their security and allowed me to park right in front of the office. Parking is tight, but seemed sufficient. Our room was also really nice, got an end room with neighbors on only one side and had a decent view out the window. I would definitely stay here again. Facility is older but the room was clean and everything (fridge, microwave, TV, outlets) worked fine.
