"Beautiful property in a fantastic location. I highly recommend staying at this historic hotel when visiting Santo Domingo. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and they offer free parking, which is hard to find in a central location. I think the rooms should be upgraded. While our room was attractive, the toilet and sink were outdated, and the toilet had a crack in the neck. The toilet seat was also too small for the toilet. Additionally, the air conditioner needs to be updated. I notice the unit does not go below some specific temperature. It’s quite noisy early in the morning, and you can hear people talking outside the hall door, likely because of inadequate door seals. Otherwise, I will recommend it."

"We stayed at the hotel for only one night. Although the property was fairly empty and we saw very few guests throughout our stay, we encountered multiple issues. When we discovered that our shower was not working, staff simply switched us to another room without any assistance. Once we settled into the new room, we found that the refrigerator was also not working. Given that the hotel was not fully occupied, we expected a better-prepared room from the start."
