We stayed here with several family members for a wedding. Price and location were great! Staff was friendly. Rooms very clean and beds comfortable. Would stay here again
Excellent value hotel. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, beach. Have stayed here in past and had positive experience. Disappointed in ground floor adjacent to parking lot room for 5 nights when upper level requested. Informed no suitable room available but hotel empty? As female traveler, not my preference and will reconsider staying here in future.
An inn that is very convenient for Montecito but needs money spending on it and updating for the price of the rooms they are charging. I stayed for a week and had problems from the first night - the motor from the ice machine kept coming on and off, the outside light was flickering and the main door and window didn’t close properly. I registered these with reception numerous times to no avail. I asked to move but they were full. Even on the last night I asked for more toilet paper as it had not been replaced and none could be found so I was given tissues. Yes it’s convenient but it is noisy, my problems weren’t addressed and if your room was on the first floor no lift - a nightmare with a heavy suitcase. Would I stay again - no I wouldn’t.

Thank you for the feedback. However, we respectfully disagree. We maintain a great reputation of competitive rates. Although we cannot completely conceal sounds from the ice-machine, it does not constantly run. It's generally idle overnight when theres minimal/to no use of it. We did not locate a flickering outdoor light, it was a standard outdoor light fixture that we regrettably cannot turn off. It provides lighting along the outdoor hallways. We were not authorized to enter the room to address in-room concerns. In fact, the "Do Not Disturb" sign was maintained throughout the stay. There's no shortage of toilet paper at our property, apologies for the misunderstanding in tissues being delivered. Yes, the property does not have an elevator, and it is properly disclosed on all websites. We do not try to mislead or misinform our guests. We adhere to a high standard of excellent guest services, and are always trying to improve on our "8.6 Excellent" property rating by Expedia.com.

Great location and friendly staff. The room we had needs a major update and a deep clean to reflect the nightly rates we paid. Although reasonable at $5 per day, parking should be included with your booking.
Great location and lovely and quiet - judging by what I saw more of a baby boomer age group like me so a match. Rooms are a bit dated but in ok condition and an enjoyable stay.
My only issue was the towel etiquette in a lot of hotels if you leave a towel on the floor it means it’s soiled and needs changing - here they were folded back up and rehung- I had a guest so that’s why I left it on the floor . I am happy to reuse but not someone elses - maybe some direction on a card would be helpful
Reasonable price, very clean, helpful staff, very good location!

Nice but noisy
Nice place clean. Lots of stairs so not good for mobility issues. Noise from train is loud, they give you earplugs so they are aware. Good location as far as access to restaurant s and beach was close by.
Great location, good value but wish they would be more eco aware. The parking permit could have been paper rather than plastic and , there were other things too. Glad to see that they got rid of most of the small one use bottles of things
We had a lovely visit at the Coast Village Inn. The inn is very pretty with lots of plants and flowers everywhere. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy, and the tv got lots of channels. I appreciated the free bottles of water in the rooms. You can see the ocean from the top of the stairs—beautiful!

I booked a pool side king bed room, unfortunately got some with a parking view.
I've asked to change my room, but it was not possible. It was confusing.
I traveled alone and my room was small; the bathroom even smaller. But I don’t think my room was indicative of what others will get.
So for good things…. Super clean. Room has a fridge and microwave and desk to eat at. WiFi was decent. You can walk to a small beach in 10 minutes and to shops and restaurants even closer. Being an older property, I was expecting thin walls but seemed very quiet to me. Pool is outdoors, heated but small.
Overall it’s expensive (I had probably their smallest room, not peak season and it was $245/night after taxes.) But all of Santa Barbara is ridiculously expensive so maybe don’t hold that against them. Given the location, it is probably decent value.
Great location, simple, but good overall hotel. They also offer free bikes, with helmet and lock, which is very convenient to go to the local beaches. Staff is very friendly. Room was a little dark. No breakfast in the hotel, but there are plenty of options at walking distance.
I enjoyed it. Privately to the owners, the carpet could be replaced, it was a little musty. Weather allowed open windows so all was very lovely. Thank you!
This is a very cute retro Inn! Wonderful staff and fantastic location! We enjoyed our overnight stay and would like to stay again when we come back to Santa Barbara!

The location is fabulous, and the beds are very comfortable, however the rooms and bathrooms are dilapidated and smell. The windows don't open or close easily. It is an old structure that is too new to be quaint and too old to be functionally comfortable. I had a slug in my first room and it smelled like a sewer, so I asked for a switch. The second room still had a strong musty smell but better.
They have bikes for guests to use, we biked down to the harbour. Had a lovely swim in the heated pool. The property is older but really well maintained.
