Not prepared arrived late and room had no ice . Television down not function and pool out of service which I asked if I can use upon arrival . I will never return but place has potential . Of and they wanted to give me a 20 lbs bag of ice for 5 bucks which is an insult

I like the views we had from our condo. Everything about the location to the staff was great. My kids loved the pool area and also that we had howler monkeys outside our bedroom windows. The only thing that was inconvenient was that we did not have a TV. Normally this would not be an issue but the fact that it was in the amenities and this one reason we picked it traveling with kids. We also have a 4 legged son that could not make the trip as it said that no pets are allowed. But when we arrived seen several guet walking their pets.

My husband and I love coming to Palermo for years because it’s just right for us. The villas are comfortable, clean and most have a great view of the ocean and vicinity. However the T.V. Cable SERVICE MAKES THIS PLACE WHOLE. I HOPE THEY FIX THE SITUATION SOON BECAUSE THE WIFI DOESN'T WORK ITS DELAYED AND IT FREEZES ALL THE TIME AND ITS ANNOYING SO YOU CANT WATCH ANYTHING AT ALL. 🙁🙁

Awesome place, but double check your reservations
A friend and I each booked a villa here. Beautiful place! The problem is, the hotel desk closed at 8pm (not midnight, as advertised). The gate guard had my friend’s reservation, but had no idea of my stay, as the hotel had cancelled my reservation! My attempts to show my proof of payment and reservation # were unsuccessful. I had to bunk with my buddy. Next day, front desk said that my booking was cancelled once I applied a hotels.com coupon. The hotel thought my entire stay was removed, not just the price adjustment. They couldn’t refund, since hotels.com had already taken my payment.

The service they give you is perfect, staff personnel were great. I have stayed at this place more than three times and I'm always satisfied, I guess that is why I keep going back.

Large villa and generally nice. Lots of ants however, beds were uncomfortable with 2 small pillows, missing dishes and toaster didn't work. Inside of villa was generally clean and pleasant. Far from beach but with a pleasant view. Pool is nice.

Still Palermo.
My husband and I have been at villas de Palermo every 6 to 7 months and stay 3 or 4 days each time. Under new management and not as fun this time around. Most of the staff are new and inexperience to customer service. All inclusive plan not available and their delicious menu which we loved so much is gone. The drinks are not as good as before. hope the new management thinks about their customers and would negotiate and get some of the old staff back again. I'm sure they'll lighten up the Palermo again.

staff is very helpful and always available. We didn't try the food due to the price, but enjoyed our private kitchen very much.

Stunning Italianesque villas with tiled roofs, stone floors and expansive views. Parrots and Howler monkeys, a large warm pool, very quiet with free transportation to SJDS all day, and cheap taxis all night. The Terrazzo Restaurant is a little pricey but unquestionably worth its

Beautiful hotel and views
This was our first time staying at this hotel. And all I need to stay is that I don't regret stay at this hotel whatsoever. The staff was amazing, the views of the beach were simply spectacular. Every villa had its own view of the beach which is about 3 KM away. A few things I do need to mention is that they had ants, not small ones... but big ones. They were harmless though, and considering we are in a tropical region... it could've been far far worse. Another complaint is that transportation to the town after 10PM was basically unavailable and we needed to walk about half a mile in the complete darkness to get somewhere where we can get a taxi. It was all an adventure for us though. We heard parrots on the trees which were on our hotel, saw fireflies at night. It was all an amazing experience and I will definitely be staying here again. Thank you!!

The only thing is that you cannot take the shuttle whenever you want. There are specifics hours and it is difficult to come back by shuttle too... we have to contact the hotel

Fun at palermo villas resort
We love villas de Palermo. We feel relaxed. The staff is Curtious and very attending to your needs. It's cleaned, spacious, safe. We love the pool. Good food We will return.

Nice hotel villas but far from the beach 15 min
Well let's just say this would be my second stay here I loved the first one we had villas 2-3 hot 2 villas because my party was 8. But this time we went nothing was working the water was burning hott or two cold and the microwave and the cider maker weren't working the staff tried to help but were soo bussy that the over locked us this time I went I had villas 27-28 upon arrival of check in I taked to the front desk about checking out at 4 pm and thru said no problem then upon the last day of our stay they gave us a letter around 12:30 to get out. They was power outages and after that the ac unit weren't working as I was explaining this to them. As I was checking out they also charged us for towels. They said they 3 towels were missing I was insulted and paid 28.50 for towels that we did not take over all it was a nightmare the young lady upon checking out made it seem like we were suppose to check out at noon I quickly showed her proof of the Expedia booking were check in is at 3pm and checkout was at 4 she looked at me like I was annoying her with a nice face of course but I could read that she was upset because we were complaining over all this place is verry nice but nothing works I would suggest to look elsewhere to stay closer to the beach you might even find something a cheaper also with better professional staff .

Nice unit, pest problem.
This unit is located in a very nice community. The reception staff is very courteous, helpful, and went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. The restaurant's offerings were broad, the food good, and the staff very customer-centered. The unit was nicely appointed, clean, and beautifully laid out with two beds/two baths. The first floor bedroom was unusable. The bathroom (especially in the shower) was overrun with large RED ants that clustered on the curtain rod and crawled all over the floor. Even placing a towel underneath the door was insufficient to keep the ants in the bathroom. At night, flying beetles seemed to come out of nowhere, buzzing around the living room area. This is very unfortunate because the property is nice, the staff friendly and helpful, but anyone with aversion to insects would not be comfortable staying in this unit.

Nice hotel, great bang for the buck
terrific place comprised of 50 2br 2ba standalone villas that include full kitchen, 2 decks, etc. Very comfortable. The pool area is nice aith a nice bar area; the restaurant is very solid, if not awe-inspiring, and a bit spendy by local standards. You are probably better off eating in town. Note: the hotel is about 1.5 km from the town center and while its possible to walk back and forth, it's definitely recommened (coming back is a grueling uphill hike in very hot and humid weather). The hotel will shuttle you in and out of town, but I would recommened renting a dirt bike or scooters while there for maximum freedom of movement.

Everything about the hotel was spectacular! By car, it's a couple minutes away from the beach but still worth it. I would say it is the smaller version of the hotel "Pelican Eyes "in San Juan.

wonderful experience
Excellent hotel! Huge modern villa on beautiful grounds. Our villa was clean and comfortable and the hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The hot water was a little iffy but this was the third Central American country we've been to and that seems to be a common issue. But a little hot water issue was well worth it to visit such a wonderful hotel and country. Definitely rent a car though...not much within walking distance.

This hotel is very nice in my opinion the pool is very nice ,but the rooms door and Windows need maintain it was really noise with the wind, I will stay in there again, the restaurant is a bit pricey, staff very nice and only 10 minutes from San Juan Del Sur

Unexpected gem
We stayed at this place on a whim! We were on my daughters 10 year anniversary and had originally staying at the HC Suites right in front of the beach but while at dinner across the street, my son in law went back for his camera battery and as he was unlocking the door a man was walking out!!! He was the security for the night and only employee onsite!!! He stole around $2700! There were no security boxes in any rooms. What's worse is that after catching the man red handed and police arresting the robber, the woman in charge of the hotel (mother and daughter from Spain) sided with the man. We were frightened and looked for another hotel in the middle of the night and found this gem! What a difference! It had tons of security which made us relax right away. Also the villas were breathtaking not to mention the views! There's a relaxing pool with an adjoining restaurant which was delicious. There's also happy hour so while your in the pool the waiters will bring your drinks! Also next door at the adventure park, we went zip lining! This hotel had outstanding service, even with a shuttle that will drop you off and pick you up around the town! I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Our only regret was not finding it sooner. We were close to leaving San Juan with a bad taste in our mouths but this hotel saved the day (it was our first time here) Highly recommended and looking forward to staying here again! Thanks to everyone working there for giving us an amazing stay!!!!

Beautiful villa 10 mins away from San Juan del Sur
Great service from staff, beautiful villa and view (we were in unit 22). On site restaurant food and prices were better than restaurants in San Juan del Sur. Only issue was the shower hot water was scalding hot and toilet was not flushing well; however, both were addressed once reception staff were notified. Great laundry same day service was inexpensive (pay by the pound).

night.Everything was great except there were hundreds of ants in the room at night. This is the tropics and seemed to be a problem with all hotels in the region. When we stayed it was dry season and they were just looking for water.

We arrived in late January and stayed for 8 days. The villa we had was enormous. The view from the balcony on San Juan bay was really nice. Since the property is a few kilometers outside San Juan, you need to have a car or a motorcycle. It's the price to pay to be away from the noise and party of San Juan. The hotel offer shuttle service but only till 6 pm. Plus, having a car allows you to explore the area and the wonderful beaches outside San Juan (Maragual, El Remanso, Coco) The pool is really nice. The villa we had was equipped with a stove and a fridge but was missing a complete cookware set (ex.: no pots). Employees were nice and helpful.
