“what you would expect for the price”

Clean but tired hotel, close to the hp pavillion and with good sized rooms. The buffet breakfast is ok if a little boring, plenty of food though! Ample parking and pretty easy to get around from. Hotel is a bit tired looking, although teh room, towels etc were always clean, i thought it was good value and pretty much as i expected it to be.

“Very pleasant hotel”

Had a very pleasant stay. Rooms were very spacious Staff were very friendly. I came for a convention and the convention centre is only 15 minutes walk away, 5 minutes by the streetcar (stop around the corner). There is a really great running route nearby through the Guadalupe river park.

“Dark but dandy.”

The rooms are dark, second time I've stayed here and I understand that the rooms are too deep for natural sunlight to get in, but it got to me after a little while. It's near Downtown, walking distance infact and for that it's superb. There is a CVS right next door and the rooms have a fridge freezer (although in ours it wasn't particularly cold enough to keep icecream frozen) and a microwave if you're trying to keep the pennies down. The cleaners were friendly and efficient, I think at one point, after not being up by 11 for the first time round, we left around 3pm for 20minutes to a local coffee shop and returned and the room was spotless. Breakfast is okay. Lots of choice but it starts and ends a bit too early for my liking, my fault for not being such an early bird really. Massive jacuzzi tub, plenty of lights around the mirror if you're into that thing. Walls are a bit thin, I must apologise to whoever was in room 309. It's been a while since I've seen my girlfriend.

“Great Value for Money”

The Hotel was great value for money. It was clean and tiday. Breakfast was self service complete with paper plates and plastic cutlery. It was cereal, muffins, pancakes, juice etc. We didn't try the complimentary evening meal. The rooms had ceiling fans and air conditioning. The only problem was that the air conditioning was rather noisy but it did the job. Also the room had a fridge, unfortunately the one in our room was rather noisy also. Having said all that, the hotel was in a great location for the HP pavillion if you were going to events there, had free parking and free wireless internet. It was also in a good location for downtown San Jose. I would stay there again. It wasn't luxury, but it did the job. If all you want is somewhere to crash at the end of a long day then this place fits the bill.

“Right for the price”

This hotel is good for the price charged especially if you want to be close to the HP Pavilion. It is not in the best of town areas. We found the hotel, parking etc absolutely fine for what we wanted. Rooms were clean and spacious, wifi worked very well and the complimentary breakfast was varied and generous.

“Good location but tired and dated.”

Easy to find with covered parking. Hotel room requires updating - tired and worn. Jacuzzi bath has seen better days and hair in it. Comfortable beds. Thin walls. Large breakfast room, buffet of hot and cold items, with blarring TVs at opposite ends. The porridge had a darkened rind and crust. Orange juice was powdery and tasted disgusting. Won't be staying here again.
