Rusty bath tub with missing grout and caulking. Did not feel clean. Looked really ran down inside and out. We drove over 16 and a half hours and did not arrive until 11 pm on the night of check in. Was forced to use cash as a deposit when we had already paid for the room. The last thing we wanted to do was have to pull cash out when we wanted the transaction on our credit card so we didn’t have to carry cash on us on our trip. The deposit situation should be made known at the time of reservation.

I’m picky. I’ve stayed at 5-star hotels and I’ve slept outdoors—camping. I can’t say anything bad about Ramada. I will remember to bring my own incense next time.

Booked last minute, the price was incredible considering it's within walking distance of the beach. Front desk was super friendly checking in and out. Room was really clean, bed was comfy. Area was a tad sketchy, I'll stay here again next time I go out for sure.

Just barely a step above a Motel 6. A couple of things in the Expedia information are incorrect. First, the deposit is $200, not $50. Desk attendant said it would not be credited back to my account for 3 -5 business days. Second, no breakfast is included. The desk attendant said Expedia will not update this information. The bathroom and bedding were clean. Who knows what lurks in the dark carpet. Typical 1 serving coffee maker with weak, tastless coffee. Nice to have mini fridge. The mattress was old and hard with dips in the middle. The pillows were also uncomfortable. Thank goodness we were there for only one night.

The room in itself was ok..though coffee machine didn’t work. The policy of the excessive cash deposit is outrageous. Travelling in the US for 3 months the deposit has always been within reason. SO MANY rules at this hotel which is 2 star at best. My assumption expressed to reception staff was ‘they must have a lot of drug dealers and prostitutes staying there’, to which reception replied..’not so many now we’ve introduced excessive deposit. Cannot recommend at all.

The property owner requires a deposit of $200 per room. I travel regularly and expect a nominal deposit for incidentals, but the $200 deposit is obviously for potential room damage and not incidental charges. That's pretty cheesy. When I wanted to extend my stay, they wanted a second $200 deposit. That was ridiculous, but it got worse. I couldn't use the same credit card and they have a policy to only accept cash. After complaining, the desk clerk spoke with the owner to allow me to use a different credit card for the second deposit. I'm a paying guest and I don't like being treated like a thief or a vandal. I won't be staying there again even though I will regularly need to stay in Oceanside from time to time.

This hotel has no lobby. Just a tiny room with a counter surrounded by a glass panel. It looks like they are preventing robbery or something like that. If you check in after 10 pm, you have to put $200 cash deposit. It takes 3 to 5 business days to return your deposit if you use a credit card. However, the room was clean and the staff was courteous.

The noise through the a/c unit was pretty substantial. The staff was extremely friendly. The beds were very close together and one was against a wall. Very small room. The fan in the bathroom was extremely loud. Overall, because of the discount I had it was worth what I paid and they accept pets.

The room look like it was furnished by a yard sale at a retirement center and there was a smell as soon as you walk into the room, maybe its what they use after pets were in the room. I went to a Best western a few blocks away and it was a huge improvement for about the same price

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years because of the excellent customer experience, relaxation atmosphere and top notch condition of the rooms. However I will not plan another night stay there! Rusty dirty tub, sink, toilet, wet bathroom floor, moving floor tiles and refrigerator. Moldy smelling room and mini fridge. Then as disabled veterans the wife and I was assigned a room on the top floor furthest from the elevator. By the time we got settled in the room we were too tired to enjoy the night.

TOO NOISY AREA!!!
Too noisy from vehicle racing on Mission Ave. late at night--On my departure day two young hispanic teen girls bothered me with loud voices and blaring cell phone in the lobby when I was trying to check out and find out about when the deposit would be returned to my visa card. I was on the 4th floor and no ice machine on this level.

Quick over night stay.
It was a quick over night stay as we were picking some stuff up and then leaving the next day. Check in was fine. The person who checked us in was courteous and polite and informed us of the rules and expectations. The best thing is that it was 3/4 of mile from downtown so finding a place to eat for dinner was easy!!
