There were spiders in the room. Sink handle was broken. I asked to have room on first floor and was put on second floor. Front desk lady was not friendly at all. Was disappointed rooms need some TLC.

The knob on the sink spun around so you couldnt choose hot or cold, there was black stagnent water in toliet, the heater fan was only on hi, you couldnt use the low setting. In the morning, I had a cold shower and I let the water run. When I told the front desk she said something about they would have to reset the water heater.

The Driftwood is on the beach! Such a beautiful setting. Had some issues with the room that the staff worked to correct, but generally it was a nice room and our stay was great.

Hotel is very dated. Internet service is non-existent with more than a few users. Received notification after room was reserved that the pool and hot tub were not operational. Positive reviews must be dated based on my recent visit. I would rate this hotel a 3 at best. Very disappointed in the fact the online ratings did not reflect the current shabby state of the property.

Hello Michael, Our apologies for the lack of WiFi during your stay. Service outages in our area are outside of our control. Our provider works diligently to reinstall service as quickly as possible. Booking through a third party (like Expedia) comes with the risk of not gaining access to all of the property information. On future bookings you may want to check out a properties direct website for detailed up-to-date information. Our pool & hot tub are currently under refurbishment but we are working non-stop to reinstate their use to our guests. Our ratings/reviews are based on the personal experiences our guests have had and they accurately reflect what our guests felt about their stay. It is impossible for everyone to have a perfect stay all of the time, but we certainly aim to achieve perfection! We appreciate your feedback. -Driftwood Motel Staff

Room has a breathtaking view of Lake Huron. Motel sits on the Huron Sunrise bike trail which we enjoyed. I think they are in the process of updating, we had an older room, but the balcony view is the pay off. There was no bike rack or place to keep our bicycles, but the area is so safe, we just kept them on the bike rack of our vehicle. The yellow jackets were annoying, but overall the stay was wonderful! Small town, quiet, relaxing, clean, safe.

The best part of our stay was the awesome view from the room. The motel is locate on the Eastern shore of Lake Huron and back of room with a balonary faces the lake. So, each morning we got see a beautiful sunrise or a dramatic view of a storm rolling. The temperature in 70s with breeze coming off the lake.

An older, somewhat updated facility; room was clean, spacious, beds good, view from balcony very good. The pool and hot tub seemingly were under repair many, many months ago and are still not available for use. Parking excellent. Our room's shower drain barely worked, something that would inconvenience any occupant planning on using the shower when the shower/tub pan was far from empty after someone had taken an earlier shower. Staff friendly and courteous. Facility compares to a friendly, no-frills motel but doesn't deliver same value for money spent.

A treat of a hotel, but outdated
The hotel is located in a wonderful location next to the lake's shore. It's quiet and not crowded. The service was very small town vibes. Everyone was nice and it was easy to check-in. The hotel itself is rather old. It doesn't look to be renovated, but it's no frills and I can appreciate that. Off the balcony is a lovely view of Lake Michigan. The room came with a mini-fridge, microwave, AC, and an old school box TV that was working surprisingly well. Decor-wise, it had some old, but well-maintained carpet and wall paper. The only downside are the beds were lumpy. Overall, a nice outdated hotel that's been maintained, has a great view, access to the lake, and has friendly service.

Carpet was wet from cleaning it. Burned out light bulb. Wi-Fi was spotty at best. Smallest bathroom I have ever seen at a hotel. Location and view were great!

Check in easy, if not friendly. Room is adequate. A/c is ice cold. Bed comfy, but needs more than 2 flat pillows for a queen bed. Carpet needs cleaned desperately. Dont want to go without shoes in the room. A few minor upgrades to room would improve reviews & $$. Fantastic views of Lake Huron. Great restaurant/bar right next door.

Good choice to stay in Rogers City
Great view of the lake with walking paths to the beach. Staff was friendly. The rooms are quiet and clean, but dated. We went with friends and, compared to their room, our room did have newer carpet and furniture. Go back in time by staying in this typical northern Michigan motel. We enjoyed our stay and the restaurant next door was very good.

It was just OK. Small room. Tiny bathroom. No good seating in the room. Doors are on outside. Staff was friendly. Great view out back.

Good morning Ron,My apologies for the small rooms, but we are considered a motel and not a full service hotel. Breakfast is a complimentary amenity. I would suggest not booking through a third party in the future for you probably paid double the price.
