I didn't like the fact that my room needed a plastic shower liner, I was there for 2 nights and no one serviced my room. It would be helpful if the tv came with a guide as to what was on the tv, more that what channels were available.

I was disappointed in the condition of our room. The grounds were pretty & well kept as was the lobby. The fire pit was broken. The windows in my room were very old and couldn’t be opened which was particularly unappealing as the room was half underground and carpeted and smelled very musty. The room definitely needed a dehumidifier and new flooring other than carpet. There was also cracked tile in the shower. They seem to be understaffed as there was no housekeeping and when we checked in I found three hairs in different places on the walls of the shower. There was also a big build up of ice in the mini-fridge.

I’ve come to rely on Rockport Inn and Suites when visiting the Boston area and Cape Ann for a basic, but very clean and comfortable and reasonably priced accommodation. The rooms are showing their age a bit, but the property as a whole is very attractive with a large, pleasant breakfast room with good, basic options for breakfast. The highlight of the property is the pool and fire pit area. Also, the windows open! It’s an easy walk into the heart of town, and the quiet neighborhood is lovely just for strolling.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The property itself is attractive and well landscaped, however the rooms are different. I had two multi-night stays over two weeks, I was there for work. They claim they are pet-friendly, and as soon as I walked into both rooms, it was obvious they were pet-friendly. The rooms stunk and the couches were stained and gross. I had two different rooms and they were the same. The rooms were tidy and picked up, but the general feel of the room was gross. Sadly, I won't be back. Too bad because there isn't a lot of other options. Far too pricey for a dirty room!

The room had a slight musty smell and I didn’t realize that the suites were outside (almost like town homes ). I would have liked to know there were options to stay in the hotel portion . But staff were friendly and it was a short but overall pleasant stay. Clean and relaxing/peaceful.

Check in was quick and easy. The room was large and spacious. The sheets were rough and the pillows are too small. The grounds looked nice , the outdoor sitting area was not ready to be used. The fire pit was closed. Too bad! The breakfast was great and there was a good variety to choose from. I would stay there again.

The property is on a main thoroughfare, close to stopping and site of interest. The continental breakfast was limited and Housekeeping doesn’t clean the rooms while they are in use. If you need towels they are available at front desk. The front desk Jen and Heather were most welcoming and very helpful.

The amenities were amazing! We made very good use of the pool, gym, and fire pit during our stay. Sad that there isn't a hot tub anymore though. The pool room is beautiful and includes men's and women's changing rooms with showers. The pool itself was a little cold for the time of year (May) but they warmed it up for us when we asked. Our room was clean and comfortable. The location was good for us, we took the train so getting to town took about a 15-20 min walk each way which we didn't mind. The breakfast was slightly lackluster, but as a complimentary spread it did the job. There was plenty of juice, yogurt, fruit, and prepackaged pasteries. For anything more substantial the best option was toasting a bagel. The staff were nice and helpful without being overbearing. Anytime we had a request or question they were quick to respond. We're glad we picked this hotel for our stay and would definitely consider booking here again if we return!

The Rockport Inn and Suites was such a treat to my family!! We had a great time. Beds were comfortable, room was pretty clean—nothing to complain about. The staff was KIND and very helpful. Thank you for not making me feel awkward whenever I had questions haha! Most importantly, thank you for making my first trip with my two very small kids easy! I loved the continental breakfast, honestly, what a solid spread for different tastes. Everything was genuinely comfortable in a small town setting. Thanks again!

No cot for grandchildren pullout sofa was old and dirty, the young man at front desk was very helpful but not much he could do to help. Other guests were ordering inflatable mattresses to accommodate their extra family members. No blankets or pillows for pullout in unit. Have stayed here many times, though years ago, not sure what happened to cause decline in house infrastructure.

I love the decor here- we could tell we’re on the coast. This place has SO many rooms and there’s options for outside rooms access or there’s the indoor ones. There is an indoor heated pool. Our guest room wasn’t made up but the receptionist immediately apologized and provided an alternate room.

This property didn’t resemble like the picture at all, just the pool. They didn’t clean the room unless you ask for it. The breakfast wasn’t really taken care of. I couldn’t find the gym advertised on the website of Expedia. The room was dark. The sign on the outside was broken off for two days it was off the post.

Room was not attached to the main building. This was ok, however, it required going outside in cooler weather to access the pool, which had no towels (had to go back to the room to get some). Pictures also indicate there was a hot tub which is not there. There was dust in the bathroom fan vent but otherwise clean. It was a nice quiet location and convenient. Easy access to both Rockport downtown and Gloucester beach areas. Staff was friendly.

Our group of 20 had an enjoyable stay at this property. My family of four will definitely be back. The highlight was the pool for our group of 13 kids. They stayed til close every night! It was a short outdoor walk from our room and I think running in swimsuits in the snow made it exciting for them. (I’d advise requesting a room in the connected part if that bothers you- our kids thought it was fun.) The pool room is massive and the parents enjoyed hanging out together while the kids swam. My room was pretty soundproof. I slept well. The hotel is clean. Breakfast is a little more than the usual continental, with bagels and English muffins in addition to packaged baked goods. The location is excellent. It’s a 30 minute drive to Salem, a ten minute drive to Gloucester and a couple mins to Bearskin Neck. My only critique is about towels. With teen girls swimming every day, we went through lots of towels. I had to go to the desk every day to get pool towels and room towels, and return or bag up our used towels each morning because there was no housekeeping service on at least one of the days we were there. I don’t care if my bed is made, but I do like the trash taken out and towels replaced. I would stay again and I offer grace because it’s understandable to be short staffed in the off season. It was a minor inconvenience during an overall nice trip- not a dealbreaker for me. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I hope this inn is around for years to come! We’ll be back!
