They were in the middle of major renovations and had plaster dust and chunks of plaster everywhere, including all over the floor in my room. They had a pile of tvs and other construction debris piled in the main "lobby" on the second floor. The entrance to the hotel was unmarked. There are NO ELEVATORS so you're forced to drag your luggage upstairs. Stairwells are not marked despite being behind closed doors. Front desk clerk was uninterested and seemed bored. She went through a spiel in a quiet voice and spoke rapidly so i have no idea what she was telling me and was too intimidated by her attitude to ask her to repeat herself. They had no working ice machines, just a giant cooler full of icy water if you needed ice. Breakfast was pathetic - stale cereal and bakery items. Oh, and there was a $50 deposit required that i was unaware of despite having prepaid for my room. Not worth the $120 i paid
It’s was filthy and smelled of dirty carpet. The rooms were falling apart and the air conditioning was useless cause it was full of dirt. The ice machine was broke and they kept it in an unsanitary cooler that everyone stuck hands in. The vending machine had more condoms than snacks. I could add additional stuff but this about sums it up. Stood here to pick up my kid from college. Never again
They could not verify our reservation and give us what we had reserved. It was dirty, smelly, and very noisy with workers going in and out of the outside doors at all times.
The room another family member had was even more noisy as the people living there fought every night!
This was the ABSOLUTE WORST hotel experience I’ve ever had.
Dirty stains everywhere corporate should shut this one down it’s disgusting

The hotel was no better or worse than I expected. There is construction going on around the property which makes parking a bit inconvenient but not a big deal.
However, I was awoken at 4 am by a stranger opening my door. "Oh sorry" he said, "Sorry" and closed it again.
I don't know if he was another guest opening my door by accident (but why did HIS room key work on my door? or a staff member, but it was unsettling.
Everything about this property was nasty. The first room I was put in was like being in a room full of smokers. The second room everything is dated and filthy. It was nasty.
It felt like a homeless shelter. Peeling paint everywhere- especially bathroom ceiling, leather chair ripped with stuffing showing, cracked tiles, broken moldings, unfinished unidentifiable electrical connection sticking out of the wall, 15 year old TV, no fridge, no microwave,
I booked this hotel because of the location. It was close to the RIT campus. The pictures of the property looked nice. I loved the bench by the window and the decor. I also loved it because it was pet friendly.
But this place is a nightmare. First off as soon as you pull in the grounds of the parking lot are all under construction. There is potholes and material all over the parking lot. Then when you check in they place a deposit hold of $50. We make our way to our room. There is no elevator it’s a walk up and The ice machine doesn’t work. We walk to our room and the room is falling apart. The walls are dirty and there is chipping on the floor. The room looks like it was cleaned. The corners have dirt and paint chips on the floor. There is even a left over used soap in the shower. The bath mat has brown stains on them and the toilet looks like it’s broken. Down the hallway there is construction workers and material all over. There are vacant rooms with the door wide open. The back door is unlocked so when you go down the lobby someone can come from behind. It’s very unsafe! I will not recommend to ANYONE!
the door we were told to enter, #6 was unoperational. we asked 4 employees how to get in. not 1 of them spoke english!! the paint was peeling from bathroom walls. the tub was clogged, possibly from the peeling paint above tub. the towels were stained. and we were awoken to a hallway full of state troopers concerning some sort of altercation.
The bathroom, beds, walls, actually everything was dirty. There was a smell. And there was a leftover sub, blue cheese and half consumed rootbeer left in fridge. All together a bad experience and this place shoukd not be recommended.
I made the mistake of boking this hotel for my son to attend RIT for a fair. Unfortunately, all of the hotels close to school were mostly booked or incredibly expensive. First thing he told me, was the smell at the entrance. My son said it was indescribable (bad). Room was old, outdated and dingy. Needless to say, I will not be booking this hotel again.
Employees were very nice and helpful. Property itself was run down, but a good price. Out of some breakfast food at 6:00am and no bowls. Otherwise, got a good nights sleep so can’t complain
You get what you pay for!
This was an inexpensive option. The property is showing its age. The rooms are small and need a major refresh.
The staff were fine (no issues).
I am not using euphemisms nor and I speaking in hyperbole - this was by far one of the grossest, unkept, and sticky hotels Ive ever walked into. Had I not landed in Rochester at 11pm and had the option to go somewhere else - I wouldve. This place is reminicent of where people go after they get released on parol or they are paying for hotels by the month to live in.... My room had sticky substances like melted candy or chocolate under the couch cushion. The wall by the bed had what looked like dried blood. The bathroom felt like there would be cameras in it... SEEDY to say the least...
The outside of the hotel looked nice, inside smelled terrible the whole time like marijuana, was extremely dirty, our keys would not work so the lady at the desk gave us the housekeeping key which is very scary because we had access to every room, no remote for the tv, just very poorly kept. Will not go back.
Attendant pleasant
Mattress sagged
Internet failed at approximately 9:30 pm still not working when I left at 6am
Phone to call desk did not work
Soda machine was inoperative
Hair dryer did not work.
Continental breakfast had little appeal.
Will pass on Microtel from here on
Upon check noticed a strong foul odor throughout the building. Room was dirty and paint peeling in bathroom.when getting ready to go to sleep, pulled the comforter down and the sheets were wet in the bed. We spoke to the attendant and were given a different room. This room also smelled foul. When going into the bathroom noticed peeling paint and the laminate areoud the shower was gaping. Upon turning the water on to brush my teeth noticed the sink was clogged. Breakfast was advertised 6-9. There was no breakfast. The parking lot and walkways were very icey. As of 11pm still have not received our $50 retainer for the room,we were told it would be returned as soon as our room was checked.we had left before 9 am. Very disappointed. What can be done about this?
We were traveling with elderly parents that need assistance. We had booked a handicap accessible suite only to be told upon arrival that the only suites are on the second floor. The facility had no elevator to get to the second floor. The only option we had was to change to a room on the first floor of which only had single beds left for the night or go to a different hotel. There was no let me see how we can make it right. It was just too bad this is all there is. We had been on the road for 12 hrs and our parents need to get laid down so we had no choice but to put them in a first floor room alone. Both require assistance at a moments notice, so we let them sleep for a few hours while we waited in the car.
