Bad staff, AVOID BREAKFAST
The hotel reception staff are not welcoming the guests. They are silent and not friendly. Every time we go through the front desk - they do not even look at us, leave alone smile or talk to us. The breakfast is just terrible. The pastry are all old and not good. The live counter is removed much early than 10 am. The Bangladeshi waiters are rude and not at all helpful to us during breakfast. Except for the location of the hotel everything about this place is BAD.

Location was good because of the Starbucks and market infront of the hotel. But I didn’t feel like the employees helped to make my stay better. Rooms where big. But they need to have more things or information for tourist.

Hotel with smoking smell and low water pressure.
I stayed for 5 days under smoking smell. It is 3-floor hotel. And you will smell it when you open a door or window. And tap water came out drop by drop. If you are non-smoker and shower-lover this hotel may not be yours.

Old style but very practical, worth the money
Hotel is rather old (rug, deco, air cond) but has great central location and extremely friendly staff. Any request was treated rapidly with a smile, women as phone operators felt great too. Rooms are very spacious.

Good basic 3-star
Good location for my business trip. Hotel were great , very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is fine - it is a basic 3-star that does feel a bit tired but otherwise absolutely fine and good value for the price.

It is always nice to stay in Rand by Wandalrus hotel. I definately recommend this hotel if you are traveling Riyadh.

I wouldent go back ever.
The check in was good and fast. Unfortunately, the A/C unit is the room was so loud I had to turn the volume up to 100% just to hear the TV. The A/C was so noisy there was no chance to sleep with it on. Good thing it was winter when I stayed there. I complained 2x and they sent technicians two times but it still was totally unacceptable. Three out of four mornings I went for breakfast and there was no cook ......to cook eggs even though there was a omelet station. I had to wait each time a minimum of 5 min for him to how up from wherever he was. Annoying! The key card and the key card envelope have no address printed on them. Each time (6 times) I had to take a new cab, the had NO idea where the RAND hotel was and asked me to use my phone to show them where to go. Which I had to do to get back to the hotel 6X. I asked for an address to use and the front desk staff basically argued with me telling me that EVERY taxi driver knows where the RAND hotel is. Which was totally false! Nobody knows where it is. The hotel was basically blahh. The off duty hotel staff all seem to congregate and sleep in the gym when they are not working. So if you go in there, expect to have 5 sets of eyes watching you. Forget about taking a shower down there. No towels are available, you have to leave the gym as sweaty mess. Gross.

Great location ever in Riyadh

Budget hotel not for business travelers
The phone lines were not working and I had to schedule meetings but I couldn't do it. There is a new rule according to which non Saudi residents can't get a new SIM card/a connection. So mobile was out of questions. Although they tried to a lot to fix it but I had to relatedly tell everyone he entire story again and again the entire day as shifts changed. The location is good there is supermarket right opposite the street behind the street there are many good Indian, Pakistani and other restaurants. The hotel in itself looked gloomy, though will lit inside the rooms (something which is difficult to find these days). They at the end have me an option to change the room but then miraculously the phone on my room started to work. Limited options for breakfast and you'll see just 2/3 people in the entire hotel. But if you look at the positive side there will 0 distractions.

The hotel met my expectations. The breakfast buffet was good, the cardio equipment in the gym worked (limited weights which was ok for my 4 night visit) and so did the tvs in the gym, the wake up call was on time, the hot water did not run out on me like in some less expensive hotels, there were a few English channels including BBC World News and taxis are easily accessible within a minute or two.
