"Second trip. Went March of 2025 for wife's 50th. This place is very large. Some things we have discovered. You cannot get hard liquor drinks until 11. Buy bottles for your room if you are a vacay early drinker. Always Pepsi and sprite mixers restocked daily in the mini fridge. You can get unlimited mimosas at the morning buffets. You will get service no matter if you tip or not. You will get noticed and attention if you tip. Some well placed tips are advisable, especially if you drink. The resort does not have a change service. You can get the vallets to break bills for you, but it's very hit or miss. Best bet, bring a cache of 1s, 5s, and a few 10s. Trying to get change in the resort stores is like pulling teeth, and a snickers will cost you like $7. Beach chairs will get saved quickly. Just keep your towel and go save a prime spot early. The lobby buffet by the theater has somewhat better food and working salt shakers. No beach ambiance, but it is what it is. None of the specialty restaurants will have you see struck, but it is nice to get out and dress up. Steak house was my least favorite. Thin and tasteless. The ocean fed swimming pool below the beach buffet is great for feeding and filming fish, snorkeling, relaxing. It's also adult only. Overall, love this place. Btw, our room on 19c, blower fan on high and ceiling fan on high even had my polar bear wife turning it down. Oh, slated door on bathroom. Not for shy poopers."
Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort

"Our group booked four rooms at Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya to celebrate three birthdays, but the trip was overshadowed by constant room access issues and poor customer service. On our first day, 3 of our 4 rooms had problems with the bracelet key system. Room 4101 was the worst—we were unable to reliably access it for almost our entire stay. Every day we visited Guest Services, who claimed the issue was fixed, yet we still needed staff to manually open the door, often waiting 20+ minutes outside our room. On the second night, guests in Casa 4 Room 326 became trapped inside their room for over 30 minutes due to a faulty lock, causing us to miss part of our 9:30 p.m. dinner reservation. Staff initially refused to accommodate us, and although a manager eventually helped, promises of further accommodations were never honored. We were later moved to another room, only to have the bracelet for that room fail as well. Communication throughout the resort was inconsistent. We received four different answers regarding hookah service hours. On our final morning, after being told it opened at 9 a.m., we were delayed again and experienced staff laughing while we sought assistance. To make matters worse, on departure day Room 4101 still would not open. It took over 30 minutes and multiple employees to gain access, nearly causing us to miss our airport transfer. The resort is beautiful, but the repeated lock failures, lack of follow-through, poor communication/service ruined the stay."

"Every single interaction with staff was a great experience! Having other resort access was also a huge plus. Spent most days at the infinity pool where we always had great service & great view. The spa was another great spot- sports complex, massages, health bar, gym, lazy river, and health circuit which includes dry and wet saunas, cold plunge, hot tubs etc. I wish the food was a little better it was a hit or miss but what you expect at resorts. Also, I wish the beach and ocean were accessible but due to the seaweed it was not (seasonal and not the resorts fault). I would suggest this resort for people who aren’t looking for a party resort. Plenty of activities for active people though."
