The Center Hotel is conveniently located with shops dining and tourist attractions within walking distance. The staff were helpful, friendly and simply awesome! The daily breakfast and options were very good! The Spa facility is a true treat!! The hotel is a little dated and can use some upgrades. It could use some painting, new carpet and more updated decor. It appears old, but is very clean despite this. Our room was ‘much’ smaller than it appeared in the pictures. The bed and pillows were very comfortable! Overall, our stay was very nice and we felt comfortable and safe. Maika at the front desk is an absolute gem!! We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is across the street from a major landmark, Harpa, and seashore, thus very easy to find. Since the tour buses etc. go to very few hotels directly, this hotel is conveniently located across the street from Bus Stop 5, and just down the street from Bus Stop 6. Also just a couple of blocks away from the main street. The breakfast room that also serves as skybar has amazing views. Staff are really friendly. The cheapest rooms are with the water view, though the room was quite basic, it was comfortable nonetheless. The only downside is that there is no place eat nearby...after a full day of touring in the cold, rain, and windy weather, even a 3 - 4 blocks can feel like a long way to get some dinner. I do plan to go back to Iceland at some point in the future, and definitely will stay at the same hotel.
