We stayed at all different kinda bnb in a week. This was the first and nice place... owner very fastidious...just a note the attached restaurant in some pix is not open need to drive to or walk to town for a pint and or dinner nice view

The view from our room window was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely with a spacious bathroom. I highly recommend this Bed snd Breakfast if you are in the area.

shower was covered in mould, the wooden floor had splinters --was wet from shower and it was buckling with mould visible ....the nails were coming through. It was noisy until midnight .

Beautiful location and friendly host
John was extremely friendly and gave us some helpful tips on local places to visit. The cooked breakfast was lovely and while the decor is dated the property is well kept and clean.

Great view and good service
The owner John is very friendly and the views outside the B&B are stunning. The overall condition was quite old but could use some updating. Understand that it’s an old property but recommend the bed linens/sheets could use a refresh. Really nice owner though, who seems to want to offer a good service to any guest. Breakfast was hot and nice also.

Thanks for your positive comments but I will have to say that I am really disappointed to receive such a poor review score. Castlehouse is an old house that date's back to the 19th century but it's a house that oozes character and old world charm. It has been extensively renovated and upgraded over the years and on an ongoing basis. I have tried at all times to keep the house in character for it's time period. The linen is replaced regularly. You had booked a mountain view room but on your arrival I upgraded you to a sea view room at no extra cost. If you prefer modern house's it would probably be better for you to book them in future.

John and his team were very nice to deal with. Beds were comfortable and Wifi was good. Short walk to a few pubs and restaurants. The weather was very bad for hiking on the mountain in the national park, so John recommended a walking trail along the Killary Fjord. It was a wonderful alternative. Thanks.

Rustic and charming, entirely in keeping with the surrounding Connemara. Fantastic views of the water and hills. John is a wonderful, attentive host. Great breakfast. More precise info for the B&B’s location would be helpful; Garmin did not recognize it and could not locate it.

We had just one night here as part of our road trip, the location and views were beautiful. The guesthouse itself was a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was really good

Beautiful B&B very nice staff and the breakfast was excellent! Very close to everything, beach, shop, restaurant, pub. Run by an authentic decent Galway man, beautiful views of the majestic Connemara scenery. Recommended 100%.

Lovely B'n'B in a perfect location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castlehouse B'n'B. It is really close to the Connemara national park and all the local points of interest. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. John was very welcoming and gave us some great sightseeing tips.

Quaint B&B within walk to beach
Cozy little B&B within short distance to amazing hikes & surrounded by beautiful scenery. Host was very friendly, & knowledgable about the area. Room had nice views, & breakfast was great :)
