My Place Hotel - Rapid City, SD

"Upon arriving, there wasn't anyone at the desk, waited 5 minutes until a guest came down with their trash and said you had to call to get service. When the person arrived she talked with them, not me. She finally started my check in, then said she was training, left and returned with another person. By this time there is another person waiting, so she took care of her instead, I got the trainee ( not a bad thing as they needed to learn). I booked a handicap accessible room, ended up on the 3rd floor. There was only a small chair to sit in which was not good for someone with mobility issues. In the bathroom the tub was not accessible, you had to step over the side. There wasn't a shower chair, and when I asked about it, I was told that it was a housekeeping problem and they were no longer there, so I should just look around the room to see if I missed it. The morning person was very friendly and made the check out process easy."

"Our room was clean, a few things that needed done like around walls vacuumed, dusting like hair dryer little things otherwise clean. Beds weren't very comfortable stayed 2 nights and my back was not in the best shape afterwards. Breakfast left alot to be desired. The lady attene8at breakfast was5wearing any shoes which I thought was a little unprofessional to say the least, and she acted like she hated her job and life very unpleasant. The lady that checked us in was wind and her little dog! Can't complain too much about the stay!"

"The hotel and our room were very clean! The beds were so comfortable. The pool was a little on the small side, but my kids still had a blast in there. It wasn’t too cold at all. The breakfast buffet was the best hotel breakfast we have had. We stayed for 5 nights and each day they had something different to offer and it was all delicious. They even had gluten free bread for toast, which was amazing! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Perfect location. The only downside was that the tv had limited channels, no kid channels. And you couldn’t mirror your phone or tablet to the tv for apps. If you have a Roku or fire stick, I’d bring that. Also, we had a very large room with an incredible balcony, but a table and chairs in the room would have been nice in that big space."

"The staff were very helpful with ideas for restaurants in the area and immediately accommodated our request to stay an extra night. The breakfast buffet was good, although the room can get crowded due to bus tourists staying at the hotel. They did a good jub of keeping everyone happy despite the crowd."

"Stayed here in Rapid City for a week while a family member had a medical procedure. Check in was easy and proce matched online booking. No fault to the staff but the first room the fridge did not work. Second room, wasnt clean at all. Finally landed in a 3rd room and upgraded me for the hassle. Room was clean, quiet, everything worked(fridge, hair dryer, coffee...) all floors were clean and property well maintained. Pool and hot tub worked well and clean. Breakfast: yummy and lots of selections. Parking: free, clean and safe Location: close to mall, shopping, food and safe as well. Staff: friendly, helpful, kind and accommodating. Will stay again!"
