Jen, As always, we appreciate reviews and feedback. I do apologize that your stay was not what you expected and that you weren't satisfied. We are a family-owned resort, we always try to make guest check-in as smooth as possible, but the night you checked-in, we had a family medical emergency and had to leave the front desk a little early. This is not something that typically happens, but we are unable to anticipate emergencies. The resort is located on a lake, close to the woods - I'm not going to say that there wasn't a bug in your bed, but I will say that it's Fall in the Black Hills and sometimes bugs get in. We apologize for this, and had you said something right away, we would have gladly come and switched your sheets. We take pride in our clean rooms, yes, the furniture is not from the Four Seasons, but it's clean and comfortable, and if you look at our reviews, most people appreciate our quant resort. Our pictures online are accurate, and we do not misrepresent anything. Additionally, we've NEVER had a problem with "crackheads" or any crime at the property or in the area. Guests at our resort enjoy evenings by the fire, grilling, relaxing by the beautiful lake, fishing and swimming in our pool.
