Very nice hotel, although the room was tiny. We only stayed one night, so that was okay. The restaurant we ate breakfast in was excellent. The service and ambiance were very nice.

The Villa is absolutely charming. The building, neighborhood, and setting of the grounds was so beautiful and peaceful. I'm really glad we decided not to stay in the middle of Dresden and instead found this lovely place - it was so relaxing.

Gorgeous facilities and setting an easy drive to downtown Dresden. Exceptionally courteous and helpful staff, memorable restaurant experience, both dinner and breakfast. Would definitely stay here again!

Charming villa residence for 3 night stay
The villa, restaurant & grounds were charm8ng and our suite - a separate house next to the main villa was very spacious and comfy. The huge bedroom would be much cozier with an armchair or bench under the windows - a d would provide a place to put a suitcase. A,great shower (no bath) in the ensuite. Fabulous restaurant in a beautiful room - breakfast and dinner were outstanding. Would go back in a heartbeat! Plus, only 20 minute drive to Dresden city center.

This hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The villa was private and the rooms were very comfortable. Only thing was that there was no elevator on the property so you need to carry up your luggage, but otherwise it was a very memorable stay. Just be careful driving in the area at night - it is very dark and there are speeding cameras. Obey the speed limit or you may get a speeding ticket. The restaurant was very delicious and the setting is very nice.

Winter escape to Dresden
Great place to relax and enjoy your day or evening. The staff was great and very helpful. If you want a box hotel this is not for you. If you want a place that treats you like you live there than this is the place for you. If we ever get that way again we will gladly stay at this Hotel.

A true pleasure
This was a delightful little hotel with a friendly and professional staff. They overlooked a booking mistake we had made and accommodated us anyway. It was nice to be just a tramride away from the center of Dresden, in a residential area. The rates were very reasonable (off the Hotels.com website) and the accommodations were excellent. Hard to beat. Staying over the summer would be even more pleasant since the hotel has a very pretty, intimate garden for guests and diners from the adjacent (top-notch) restaurant.

Lodging with elegance and history
This is an elegant old building that has been beautifully restored. It is set in a lovely neighborhood of mansions right next to the vineyards of the Weinberg. I had a rooftop room, which means sloping ceilings and somewhat limited windows - but peace and quiet and a beautiful view over the town. Breakfast (which costs extra) was in the lovely restaurant in an adjoining building. It was delicious and well presented. Even though this listing says that the restaurant serves breakfast only, it does in fact serve a wonderful (if pricey) dinner. Well worth the moderate expense. Keep in mind, this is not a chain hotel. There are no elevators or other "amenities" some travelers seem to expect. Go there for the gracious ambience - not for room service or air conditioning or cable TV. The town of Radebeul is pleasant and has easy access via streetcar to Dresden. I recommend a stroll through the vineyards and a lovely lunch or dinner at the Weinhoff Hofloessnitz - a pleasant stroll from the hotel.

Hotel Villa Sorgenfrei
Chosen partly for its close access to the Dresden airport, Hotel Villa Sorgenfrei is a lovely boutique hotel situated at the foot of the Radebeul vineyards. Its classical look is complemented by the sculpted garden and pebbled driveway. The top-floor room under the roof room atop some creaky stairs would be too cramped for taller guests and too far from the WiFi access, but otherwise very cozy and to our liking. Others have praised the quality of the restaurant, but this was not our experience. We started under a canopy of trees on a terrace overlooking the lovely garden. Romantic. When it started to rain, however, no assistance was offered to move us inside, and the maitre d' said the dining room was full and merely directed us vaguely to the "possibility" of finding something in the bar (a smallish room, more like a passageway, with two side tables separating the dining room and the reception. When I returned to the dining room to request service, a very pleasant and alert member of the wait staff immediately offered a table in the dining room. It was gratifying to see someone so attentive and service oriented. The hotel is in a residential area, so there are few other options for dining elsewhere, and virtually none without driving some distance. My fish entree arrived almost uncooked but for the tips and had to be sent back. It returned nicely done but the portion noticeably smaller than before. The markup on local wines was immodest by comparison to restaurants elsewhere, but the assortment of cheeses for dessert was balanced and delicious. The buffet breakfast was very good, and orders for specialty coffees were possible.

A memorable and luxurious retreat
We were picked up at the train station by the owner, because no taxis were available. She and all staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished from a dilapidated old estate into a very tasteful bed and breakfast. Our room was extremely comfortable; the bed pillows are heavenly. The house wines, especially the white, are delicious and reasonably priced. Dinner was delicious. Don't miss the chocolate cake. The breakfast buffet was also delicious with wonderful bread and yoghurt. We enjoyed drinking wine in the gardens and smoking a cigar in the bar. (The rest of the building seems to be no-smoking, which is good.) Overall, highly recommended.

Unser Zimmer war winzig klein. Es gab keinen Kleiderschrank, nur 3 Haken mit ein paar Bügeln. Das Zimmer war auch sehr niedrig und mit einem Balken auch im Einstieg zur Dusche musste man den Kopf einziehen.

Hier fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Allein der Weg über die Allee zum Hauptgebäude verzaubert einen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Lage direkt an den anliegenden Weinbergen lädt zu ausgedehnten Spaziergängen ein.

Tolles und liebevoll eingerichtetes Schmuckstück von Haus. Das Frühstück ist sensationell. Die tolle Wandbemalung in unserem Zimmer könnte wieder mal aufgefrischt werden. Aber das sind kleine Makel. Ansonsten alles perfekt.

Charmerende hotel i gl. villa stil. Der var under mit ophold ingenmulighed for noget ar spise om aftenen (dette var en tirsdag) Wifi fungerede ikke og der var ingen hjælp st hente hus den meget unge receptionist. Morgenmaden var dejlig.

Wunderschönes, kleines Hotel mit aufmerksamen und zuvorkommendem Personal. Das gesammte Hotel ist passend zum Still des Gebäudes eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein kleines Zimmer direkt unter dem Dach. Für große Menschen nicht unbedingt die beste Option, für eine Nacht für uns aber absolut perfekt. Wir haben am Abend nur eine etwas bequemere Sitzgelegenheit oder eine Hotelbar vermisst. Dennoch haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Schönes Hotel in fantastischer Villa
Schönes Hotel in fantastisch restaurierter Villa in einer schönen Villengegend. Sie ist absolut ruhig gelegen, wenn man bereit ist, bis zu 15 Minuten zu laufen, findet man auch andere Restaurants in der Nähe.

Einmaliges Hotelensemble
Traumhaftes Kleinod aus dem 18. Jahrhundert originalgetreu restauriert. Berücksichtigen muss man, dass dadurch keine modernen Hotelstandards für Schallschutz, Zimmergröße und Einsehbarkeit bestehen. Man sollte sich das Zimmer vorher genau ansehen oder beschreiben lassen.
