"What a fantastic treehouse surprise! Absolutely beautiful and truly in the forest but steps away from a lovely sauna and hot tub, and the nicest host even has four laying hens! The route we took included some 1-2km twisty dirt road and felt like a real adventure. We stayed here for a romantic birthday two night stay while taking an excellent blacksmithing course at nearby Vans Blacksmithing in Hawkesbury, and stayed another day for open forge time. "Although it says auberge and cabins in the name it is a bit of a misnomer as it is really more like a campsite and hostel. We were surprised that our chalet did not have a bathroom. We knew after booking that there was no potable water and had to bring our own or purchase on site. Although we were told this we did not know that bathrooms and showers were communal. Beautiful surroundings but just be sure that you are looking for more of a ‘camping’ experience and not one of a hotel or auberge "
