Great value hotel
I Have always had a great stay at this hotel, thats why i always go back, easy to get to from both the centre of town and the airport using either the metro (Flora) or tram (5,9,55 or58) the staff make you feel welcome and speak very good English and are always willing to help. The hotel has spent money on renovations in the last few years and it gets better each time and for the price its great value for money

Shared Bathroom
Mixed feelings. on one hand the hotel was very affordable (got a deal) , clean and conveniently located it was a huge disappointment that we had to share the bathroom despite me calling ahead to ensure that there are private bathrooms! going outside of our room to use a shared bathroom in the middle of the night (or even in the morning) after drinking plenty of beer (which is one of the things to do in Prague) with a loudly squeking bathroom door was very inconvenient and especially frustrating when i was ensured that the room came with a private bathroom. the balcony that we had looked at walls across the building so didn't enjoy city views. the staff was nice, breakfast was plenty and since the hotel was full of senior citizens our sleep was uninterrupted until somebody opened the bathroom door...... overall i would recommend this hotel for economic reasons and to be close to the city but know what the bethroom situation is going in....

so uncomfortable beds, dirty towels and in general I don't thing it had 3 stars hotel's standard. bathroom stuffs were not complete(no shampoo, no hair dryer). these were negative things about the hotel but it is close enough to touristic area with good transportation system.

Good stay - Price is right
Transportation directly in front of hotel. Front desk is extremely helpful (especially Klara)! No AC but open window at night. Restaurant in front of building is good. Would definitely stay again.

I had a comfortable, very clean, pleasant double room. Breakfasts in the main restaurant were decent but unexciting, the lobby bar offered more choices. The hotel is on major tram lines with a stop right outside the door, so it's simple and quick to get to most parts of the city; the same is not true of some city-centre hotels. I would recommend buying one or more of the cheap three-day travel passes at the airport, they are undated until you stamp them upon entering a tram or bus or metro station. The hotel is very good value for money.

Not a good first night, or so it seemed at the time ! Unfortunately we had a load of Italian school kids in the rooms all around us, and the teachers were not in the least interested in controlling them, we were getting phone calls at 3am from them etc, reception and security were not able to do anything either. On demanding to see the manager the next morning, he was apologetic, and immediately moved us to another room well away from the rabble.

A very good location - close to centrum
The Olsanka hotel is a dated, Russian looking type hotel. It is very easy to get to the centrum on #9 tram, which stops directly in front of the hotel. The service at the front desk was pleasant and efficient. The room and bathroom were very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was ample, but it would be nice to incorporate fresh fruit. The windows are very large and hard to open and keep open.

goos 3 star hotel
the hotel is overall ok, early late 70s building, reception quite good and they speak english, there is a lounge bar that does food too which is not bad, breakfast is ok easter european style, the hotel can hold conferences and has alsoan indoor swimming pool, sauna massage, fitness room tennis court yard indoor. It has also a resturant and next to the hotel you have a beauty salon a pizza resturant and a pub, in front you have several shops and other resturant, and a tram stop is exactly in front of the resturant very handy, the underground is just 10 minutes walking . to get to town centre by transport is very easy takes 12 minutes approx, walking lets to the old town square will take 40 minutes. Near the hotel you still have places to visit. The airport by taxi is only30 35 minutes away. Overall i reccomend this hotel for school trips or business trips, or group trips, but i was there as a single,and i saw many couples and families too. The rooms are clean especially the bathroom, but the furniture style is quite old but not decadent, so overall for a 3 stars and for the price i got i would say it was a good hotel, but i would not spend more of what i did, so i would come back if i had the same offer, if i have to spend more than i prefer to go to one closer to town square, even though taking the tram is nice as you can see the city life.

Greeted by friendly staff. Room was tidy. Restaurant inside offering quality food at cheap prices. Room tidied daily with fresh towels. Smokey smell when woke up in room as teenagers smoke in the lobby area and this smell enters all the rooms but if you open your window to air your room out it will be fine. The heater in the room can be put on full blast if need be which was good. Some of the receptionists are more helpful than others depending on their level of spoken english.

No English TV programs. I am mentioning this because there is nothing to do in the room since we cannot use Wifi in the room unless you pay. Breakfast isn't that tasty. Just simple bread and coffee and eggs etc.

1. Check-in and Check-out are very fast, polite and efficient. 2. Room are very clean. comfortable beds with big beautiful view window. Bathroom and toilet are very new and clean. 3.Lobby bar has lots of drinks during late night till 24Uhr. 4. Very good Tram and bus connection to all sightseeing places. 5.Breakfast is wonderful and lots of choices...even better than 4 star-hotel.

Very satisfied
The hotel is large and "block like" in appearance but fully satisfactory and very good value. My room was spacious, very clean and also warm (despite the cold weather) and the bed was firm and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and polite, in particular the men who served in the hotel bar. The hotel location is slightly out of the centre of Prague but no problem since 3 tram lines stop outside. My only disappointment was the breakfast - the orange juice and coffee were rather weak and the choice of food was rather limited (especially for those who don't want bread or strong meat like salami and mid-european sausages!) But overall, I was very satisfied with the Olsanka and would be happy to stay there again.

Convenient for sightseeing
The Hotel Olsanka was a great starting point; three tram lines stopped right outside the door and it was only two or three stops from the main train station, which worked out perfectly for a day trip to the beautiful Kutna Hora. The room was what I expected of a three-star hotel; not the most comfortable, but functional. The description states that there are memory foam mattresses but that didn't seem to be the case in my room. The mattress in my room only had a "memory" in the sense that it was so hard I doubt it will ever lose its shape. When paired with the very flat pillows on hand, this side sleeper woke up each morning in a lot of pain. I never was proactive enough to ask the front desk if they had different or extra pillows available, so I can't testify to what the hotel would have done to mitigate that discomfort. I got a smoking room so I opened the windows to air it out. This ended up being a much more complicated operation that I would have expected; the handles to unlock them were difficult to budge. When I finally succeeded in unlocking them, the windows opened by pivoting at the center point and I couldn't figure out how in the world they were supposed to be held open without crashing down, except to flip them all the way around (which perhaps was the entire point, but since I was trying to air the room out I found it frustrating). I was satisfied with the breakfast spread-my mornings usually consist of yogurt and muesli, both of which were on hand, so I was happy. They also had other cereals, a variety of breads, cheese and lunch meat, sausages, some pasta thing which I found too bland, and eggs. There was a nice breakfast "pastry" selection as well (baked like a sheet cake-both I tried were tasty), and a goulash soup that felt wonderful when I came down with a cold/sore throat. If I stayed there again I would call ahead to ensure I had a non-smoking room and ask about more comfortable pillows. Overall, though, the difficulties I encountered were minor and I had a positive experience.

The location is convenient, it just 10 mins to city. The hotel close to shopping mall, just 5 mins by walking. the room is big and clean. The breakfast look the same every day.

The receptionists English wasn't so good. People smoke inside the hotel No fridge in the rooms We were told that we would have kettle in our rom and there wasn't. Bummer No wifi except for the lobby and even there it was slow! They offer you to get wifi in your room by paying them extra money Problems with vegetarian breakfast. Check in only from 14:00

This was the second time i have stayed at the Hotel Olsanka and was made extremely welcome on my arrival. The rooms are basic but clean, facilities are very good with a health centre on site and the you can't beat the transport links into the centre of town as there is a tram stop outside the hotel and runs all night. If there is a down side, the breakfast could be better,

This is a budget hotel and you get budget treatment. The room was good size, but there was 1 bathroom for 3 rroms (I booked standard room). The tv had no english channels at all (couple of russian and german as well as czech). But service was good, polite and helpful. There was free wifi in hotel reception. The location was very good- just short walk or 1 tram stop from metro Flora. Breakfast was generous, but same every day, so third morning was rather boring. Overall- I think the hotel is reasonable value for money, although lack of en suite and any english tv channel is a downside

Good hotel a little outside the central Prague
I had booked a family room for my two teenage sons, myself and my mother. The room was actually a two-room apartment which was very convenient - very spacious and fine! The reception was very helpful in generel, and the hotel was situated perfectly - close to trams and the metro as well as a big mall where we could buy supplies such as lunch. Only one negative thing: the breakfast was plenty and edible - but VERY boring!

The Hotel Olsanka is situated just out side of the centre of Prague with a tram stop right outside its doors, trams No 5,9 and after midnight 58, will take straight into town in 15 minutes to either sight see or party the night away. The Hotel itself is basic, but comfortable, and has a sports centre with pool, spa and importantly massage facilities which are very good. The staff are friendly and helpful and are there 24 hours. The Hotel is close to the metro and a modern shopping centre that has a supermarket, cafes and cinema as well as some bars and restaurants.

Not the best hotel at all!
I am usually not one to write reviews, as we travel a ton and are normally quite satisfied, but this hotel was a disaster. The room was absolutely filthy and looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. There were chunks of food on the floor, and stains all over the carpet. The bathroom was dirty and the room seemed to be crumbling apart. We did not pay much for the room so we didn't have high expectations but we thought from the pictures provided on the internet that the standards would be much higher. To top the experience off, the hotel lost our reservation, and after driving almost three hours to get there, were told we did not have a room. The ladies that worked at the counter were extremely rude and did not want to help us until a gentleman stepped in and assured us our problem would be handled. The free breakfast was awful, and not like other complimentary breakfasts we have had at other hotels in Czech. The location is okay. There is a tram stop outside the hotel that you can catch to pretty much wherever you want to go in the city within a short time. Overall we would not return to the hotel. For people just looking for a place to sleep for the night, it will be fine, but we do not recommend staying for longer than a night!

Lagom hotell i Prag med bra kommunikationer
Hotell i Prag med fantastiskt mycket för pengarna. Hade turen att få "suite" med dubbla rum högt upp i hotellet. Badrummet och toaletten var nyligen renoverade och rummen hade hyfsad standard - rent och fräscht men inget överdrivet lull-lull. Avsaknad av minibar/kylskåp och den lilla teven gjorde ingenting eftersom Prag ska ses på stan. Utanför hotellet går spårvagnarna förbi och runt hörnet finns shoppinggalleria. Med spårvagn inte långt från centrum så med andra ord ett perfekt hotell om man beaktar priset.

Anbindung in die Innenstadt durch Strassenbahn und Taxis direkt vor dem Hotel sehr gut; auch Metro und Einkaufszentrum in Gehweite (ca. 8 Minuten). Zimmer OK und sauber, bequeme Betten;wenn man eine Luxusanlage sucht, ist man allerdings fehl am Platz. Rezeption, Bar und Service durchgängig gut und sehr freundlich. Frühstück nicht besonders empfehlenswert, dafür gibt es aber viele Coffee-Bars in der Innenstadt oder im o.g. Einkaufszentrum.

Отель "из прошлого". Подходит для ностальгирующих по 80-м. Дешево и сердито. Очень плохое качество WiFi в лобби, в номерах интернет платный и тоже не лучшего качества. Из плюсов отеля: выгодное расположение. В 5 минутах ходьбы станция метро и крупный торговый центр, непосредственно около отеля остановка трамвая, недалеко телебашня и 2 красивых парка.
