Only complaint is the staff at front desk. While waiting 45 mins for our room to be ready, they didn’t let us know about the available water and coffee in the lobby. I just happen to walk by it as we headed to elevator when room available. I knew ahead of time there was a free breakfast each morning but wasn’t informed of that either. Great accommodations; clean and convenient location.

Even though we only live a 1.5 away, we've never explored the area near the hotel! We had a wonderful check-in and the room was great and beds very comfortable! We walked almost all evening and had a fantastic time at a few bars and restaurants. Quick day trip to the southern coast of Maine!

The Hampton Inn & Suites in Portsmouth is my favorite Hampton hotel, hands down! The hotel is so ideally situated in the outer corner of the old port area of Portsmouth giving you many dining, shopping and sightseeing options.

Great place to stay if exploring Portsmouth. Everything very clean, housekeeping do a great job. Breakfast very basic, but some great local cafes if you want more.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! The rooms were large, clean and spacious. It is a newer property and located right in the heart of Portsmouth. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping within a short walk, and we utilized valet parking, coming and going as we pleased. The free breakfast was quite good, with multiple options. Highly recommend this property!

We loved our room, the facilities were great with access to the pool and fitness center, daily breakfast and waffles were delicious! Valet parking was convenient and the staff was friendly.

The serving at the Breakfast was not good, a lot was empty and no replacement for the last hour and also’ There was the time changing and many guests came To a closed door ! There was no announcement in the room that the breakfast time is changing.

The hotel is near to everything in town. It’s new, staff is very nice, rooms are very spacious, clean. Breakfast Buffett is nicely presented, fresh, clean. Will stay again.

This is in a great location and is walkable as retail and restaurants nearby. The staff is respectful and friendly. There is valet parking the cost is $40 a night and your vehicle is located at the back of the building with you having access whenever- The initial valet related we can park until 4pm after checkout but it turns out it is only until 2pm. The common areas are fine and the location is secure as you have card key access The downside is the rooms are not clean as the first room had a significant stain on the mattress pad. The staff brought a new mattress pad and asked if we wanted to change it or him? We then opted to be relocated as clearly this was not acceptable. We were relocated which staff assured would meet our expectations- Well it did not but after a 2 hour ride and dinner it was close to 8:45 thus we went to sleep. This room had not been properly cleaned as dust was on the furniture, urine stains on the bathroom floor adjacent to the toilet and hair in the shower from someone shaving ( yes it was not good) Upon checking out we mentioned the issue to the clerk in a polite and respectful manner and he stated the parking had been deducted from our bill. This was nice however it was clear that the clerk from the evening had deducted the parking upon moving us however nothing had been done to accommodate the issue with the room we relocated to- My hope remains that the staff and management will improve on there standards specific to cleanliness as clearly this

The downtown location is great!! The only thing I could suggest to be changed is the beds are hard;( A pillow topper would make the beds so much more comfortable. Other than the beds our stay was great!!

There are other options for parking in town, the on-street parking is metered but generally stops charging overnight. Additionally, there is the Foundry parking garage located just a block behind our hotel which offers overnight parking for only 1/hour.
