The check in procedure was very good. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It is a beautiful hotel in easy walking distance of everything. There are some nice little touches like a turn down service. Our only negative was we felt the bathroom was not very functional in terms of counter space.

For us the Torel Palce was perfect. Beautiful quiet rooms with real character, stone marble and timber. Fantastic location, walking distance to so much of Porto and Gaia. Staff were all lovely - lots of help from reception team for dinner and Fado bookings and directions to key sites. Breakfast very good. Nice selection and lots of egg hot choices and not too large bearing in mind how much other eating and drinking is to be done in Porto. We thought we were splashing out when we booked but Torel Palace was well worth it.

I love the hotel! we stayed 2 nights during our visit in Porto. We used Valet parking and when we arrived it was raining but the staff was already waiting outside when he saw us approaching. They are so friendly and genuine and helpful. The check in was very smoothly and we were offered with drinks and snacks. The lobby is beautiful and they have a very tastful and nicely decorated library cafe. The breakfast is in restaurant Blind and the service and food are excellent. They also have a garden that you can sit out to enjoy the weather when it’s good. Our room is also very clean and well decorated. We were offered Easter snacks during our stay as well. Overall I would like ho go back to stay in this hotel if I ever go back to Porto

The service was impeccable, personnel welcoming and warm. The room was comfortable and very well set up. It’s a high end boutique hotel. I loved the library room where you could stop for a drink or snack. The breakfast had variety and quality foods. I loved our stay!

As a globetrotter, this is the few best places in Europe I’ve ever stayed. In particular, this place is a have for book lovers. Each room is named after a famous Portuguese author. There is also a library where guests can have light fare while browsing books and relaxing after a day in the city. My only regret is I did not get to experience the wonderful restaurant BLIND because it was closed during my stay.

Staff was lovely and accommodating. Location was excellent. The renovation to an historic building; however attractive, sometimes didn’t work. Skeleton keys were not easy to manage. There should be more hangers, drawers, and shelving space, but the rooms were tight. The only downside. Overall an enjoyable stay in a lovely city.

Love this property! Boutique Hotel at its best! Great staff! Love the dining as well! Beautiful rooms. I would book again in Porto!

Excellent hotel in the heart of Porto! I would definitely go back, and dinner at Blind was one of the best meals we had in Portugal. Definitely a must!
