We came to Porto with great expectations and the City, it's inhabitants, food and drink didn't disappoint.
We will be back.❤
As to the hotel, we prefer independent hotels to big chains. Once again we were not disappointed, for a 2 star hotel, we got a central location, about 15 mins from centre and majority of museum and points of interest. Lapa station round the corner , with all 5 lines passing through it is really convinient if yoy plan to travel further afield. The hotel Room was clean , bathroom was spacious and what I say a typical portuguese bathroom looked like. There is a huge wardrobe, confortable bed. I loved the period features in the room and troughout this charming hotel. We were on a budget , so got the cheapest room right opposite reception as were out early b4 8:30, noise was not a issue for us as we live in noisy busy area, but you may want to take ear plugs with you if you are a light sleeper or intend to sleep in late. To resume we loved our stay, the staff were really helpful and friendly. I even got my little historical tour of hotel.
