"Villa Alizee is probably the best and friendliest place we have stayed in the 4weeks we have spent on this island so far. We were made extremely welcome on our arrival. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished and we had a lovely patio overlooking the pool. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee was available at all times. Breakfasts were made personally to order as were the evening meals. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Our hire-car was kept secure in a large on-site compound....

"This is a charming boutique hotel with attentive and friendly staff. Janey the cook and her assistant Anushka prepare delicious meals, which are served directly overlooking the sea. Villa Anakao is not situated in a tourist spot. There is a nearby fish stall on a nearby beach which is worth a visit. This hotel is certainly not posh. It is real Mauritius, but is nevertheless a great place to relax after a day of exploring the island, and a fraction of the cost of the much smarter big brand...
