"Great resort, with a lovely swimming pool, great buffet breakfast, bar and restaurant.
Easy 30min walk to the town centre, or there is a cheap and quick shuttle ride in, cost was only $5 per person each way.
The staff are all lovely and welcoming.
Our room we had was a one bedroom pool view room, which was spacious and clean, but did have a shower over the bath, which isn't great.
Would definitely recommend this resort for couples or families."
"Was really unimpressed upon check-in to find our room was poorly cleaned upon the last guest’s checkout. The floors were filthy, the windows were dirty and smudged, there were dead bugs in the windowsills and there was even water left in the kettle and the coffee machine from the last guest. We literally had to walk around our room in shoes for the entire eight days we were there, as we wouldn’t dare walk around in bare feet even after the floors were cleaned for us. After complaining to the first front desk manager, who did nothing about the state of our room, the second front office manager was quick to rectify the situation and have our room cleaned with an apology bottle of wine provided to us.
Overall the facilities and standard of the property is pretty poor and old. It looks like the two bedroom units have new bathrooms, whereas all the other one bedroom and studio apartments have old unrenovated bathrooms. The studio/one bedroom units are incredibly small and pokey with very little storage. The pool was also really old and cold! All the pool tiles were really scummy and mouldy and look like they hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone and especially not through Expedia as they seem to put you in the dingiest and worst room when you do an Expedia booking."
"Fantastic central location in short walking distance to everything inc marina, shops, restaurants, Four Mile Beach, coast walk. Large unit space made our 12 night stay very comfortable. Our room was located above a cafe but thankfully very quiet at night: Red Kitchen is a great cafe and convenient for breakfast or lunch, but a pity we didn't know about the 10% guest discount until our last day! Parking in the hotel car park is very limited so when full, we managed to always find parking on the street outside the accommodation. Sink plug in kitchen needs replacing (no seal) and plug in bathroom sink doesn't work so shaving means running a tap. Couldn't hear other guests which was great. Loved the balcony and the swimming pool. A very easy, relaxed stay with great amenity and efficient service."
"The motel was perfectly positioned for access to amenities, restaurants and sights while being away from the street noise. We thankfully upgraded to a one bedroom apartment which was beautiful. My sister stayed in a poolside room and couldn’t open her doors or windows due to people looking in from the pool. I would stay again in the room we had. Very nice and lovely staff."
"Lovely clean room, and walking distance into town and beach was great! Staff were super friendly and helpful in organising tours and recommendations etc."
