Everything was clean and the front desk was friendly and spoke English which really helped me because my Spanish is not so great.

Got a lot wrong
before booking I asked Hotel.com to confirm linked rooms and asked the hotel to confirm - both did - we arrived with our 2 children and had neighbouring rooms not joined - so totally pointless - the kids were too young to keep in separate room so as adults we separated, for my wifes birthday trip! - complete mess - great breakfast and parking though - maybe without the total mess up I would be more positive - I think its better to stay at central hotel like NH and AC tbh

Long weekend
Hotel was good quality with excellent selection of complimentary toiletries. Location not great as a little distant from centre and port area with uphill climb on way back though taxis plentiful and not expensive. Good value compensates for this. Rooms good size ,clean and comfortable.

We were a late check in and the the hotel was quite. Front Desk was fine but relatively unknowledgeable when it came to parking, we had a van and were curious about the height restriction. Also - unaware that this property is a hostel and ammenitites are basic and the room A/C was hardly working. Upside - the room was pretty clean. If you're looking for some place close to town ... this isnt bad.

great hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Staff was all very helpful. We would highly recommend this hotel for anybody going to Vigo.

Clean, modern, no charm but perfectly satisfactory. We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel for a three night stay and this suited us. We only really slept there as we spent most of the time expelling Vigo.

Efficient hotel
just one night stay for a holiday trip through Spain. Hotel fit the purpose Staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner at restaurant was ok, but a bit overpriced in our opinion Breakfast was good and up to 4 star standard. Only missing hot milk

Very Clean and comfortable. Nice Staff. Nice Breakfast. We would definitely reccomended it. Not to close to Casco Viejo and walking attractions.

Great Hotel, close to city centre,
Really pleased with this hotel, on a main road leading into Vigo but no problem with traffic noise, good free underground car park with lift access, road to the side of hotel was a 5 minute walk to restaurants and cafe bars, a 10 minute walk and your in the main hub of Vigo, Staff were all very helpful, we forgot to bring a plug converter and hotel happy to lend one, My Spanish is non existent and some of the staff were not fluent in English but we managed fine, Breakfast was really nice with lots of choice, continental and Eggs and Bacon for us brits, Did not have a evening meal in restaurant but looked really nice, With Vigo being hilly i would recommend walking into the centre or down to the harbour as it is all down hill and easy but get a cab back, we did this several times and cab fare was always around E4.80 even from the harbour area, Although i did drive the hire car into town a couple of times and found public car parks plentifull and reasonable,

Would definitely recommend it
This is a great and cheap hotel on the main road that goes into Vigo. It is a bit oldish per se, but the room we stayed in has been renovated. We asked for the room that did not face the road and had a very good rest. The room had a fridge, which was really nice. The toiletries and hair dryer as standard.

Hotel Galeones, Vigo
Nice Hotel. Personnel was attentive. Rooms were clean and roomey compared with other Hotels in Europe. Parking available at the Hotel for a fee but if parking is not available at the Hotel you can be driving around for a long time trying to find parking on the street. Driving around Vigo is not easy as no all the street's name are posted on the walls and it has lots of 1 way streets and driveabout. It is located just 15 min. from the train station if you are lucky and do not get lost.
