Slice of paradise in Plett
The Finch Cottage was spacious, clean and cute. There is a bbq, pool and a beautiful yard (2 adorable dachshunds too). It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach in a great neighborhood. We walked to dinner as well. Bernie and Adrienne are really helpful and suggested Monkeyland and Birds of Eden. Loved them both. We also enjoyed Robberg Nature Reserve which is just a few minutes away. The breakfast was over the top and plentiful which is good because my daughter is a big eater! Not sure what kind of coffee the have but it was delicious. This is one of the best places we stayed in South Africa!

I had a wonderful stay at this little place. The owner could not be warmer and nicer. She provided tons of information about an area, restaurants and so on. She was always willing to answer questions. The place itself location a bit outside of the core of the town in a quiet residential area (which I liked). The beach is just 5 min walk away. My room was a cottage with separate entrance and a deck, so it was very secluded. The cottage itself was very well maintained. There was a separate lounging area with fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom. Secure parking is free to all guests, good breakfast is also included (made to order eggs). Overall a very nice place and I'll be happy to come back.

Excellent Guest House

Perfect.
The very friendly and helpful owners, Adrienne and Bernie, set the tone for our delightful two night stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. A large and comfortable room was enhanced by the sherry which was provided for guests. Breakfast was everything you would wish it to be. We enjoyed the restaurant on the edge of town which was recommended and isn’t too far away. Everything about Bayside Lodge was to a high standard. Playing with their dachshunds was fun. You will certainly not be disappointed if you stay here.

Honestly it was one of, if not the best holidays our family have ever undertaken. Adrienne and Bernie are hosts beyond compare. Full of local knowledge and advise and assisted in bookings. Fabulous hospitality. Fabulous environment. Simply faultless. We will return and that, I think, says it all.

A wonderful guest house where Bernard and Adrienne couldn't be more helpful. Five minutes drive from the centre and even nearer the beach it is convenient for all facilities.

Fabulous guest house
We chose to stay in the separate cottage which gave us extra privacy and use of a lounge and kitchenette. Very comfortable. Adrianne and Berni have a wonderful sense of style and attention to detail. Everything you need is there and they are a great source of information and the breakfast is delicious, without doubt the best on our holiday.

Rooms were excellent but hotel was not close to beach or town and rather off putting on arrival. Communal areas basic.
Dear Nicholas Thank you for your review and we take all feedback constructively. What a pity you only spent one night and perhaps didn't have time to walk to the beach which is only 3 minutes away! It is unfortunate that you refer to us as a hotel because with that comes very different expectations to a four star family owned and managed Bed and Breakfast. We wish we could understand what was "off putting and basic" so that we can take remedial action where possible and necessary. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday!

Self catering close to the Guest House.
This is a self catering apartment 5 mins walk from Bayside Lodge at Bell Rock, with the same friendly and helpful proprietors. We were very pleased with the standard of accommodation, location, security and facilities. The only negative feature for us was lack of WiFi, which, of course, is great if you want to get away from it all!

We appreciate your feedback - wifi is something we are looking at - at the moment it is available at Bayside Lodge which is 5 minutes walk away. We make sure guests are aware of this at the time of booking and we have since removed the self apartment from this B&B listing to avoid any confusion as to what facilities are available.

Wunderbare Unterkunft in Plettenberg Bay.
Tolle Unterkunft mit mehr als freundlichen Gastgebern. Schöne Zimmer in ruhiger Lage, würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen. Zum Strand sind es wenige Minuten zu Fuß. Wir waren zu viert als Familie dort und haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt.

Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in Plettenberg Bay
Die Eigentümer haben uns sehr nett empfangen und waren insgesamt auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das ganze Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll ausgestattet. Unsere Ferienwohnung war perfekt. Frühstück war erstklassig. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Traumhaftes bed & breakfast mit tollen Besitzern
Das b&b liegt mitten in einer sehr reichen Wohngegend und ist daher absolut sicher. Wir wurden gleich bei der Ankunft total nett empfangen von den beiden Besitzern und Haben uns daher gleich Wohlgefühlt. beide sind super hilfsbereit und haben tolle Tipps. Wir waren im finch cottage und das war traumhaft. Das b&b ist total sauber und hat eine tolle Atmosphäre. Wir waren super happy und können es nur weiterempfehlen! Absolut toll!

Sehr liebevolles, klassisches B&B. Die herzlichen Gastgeber wohnen im Erdgeschoss, die Zimmer für die Gäste sind oben. Wir wurden persönlich empfangen und haben sofort wertvolle Tipps und Vorschläge für Unternehmungen und Restaurants bekommen. Frühstück hervorragend, Zimmer/Bad groß, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Lage ist super: gutes und sicheres Wohnviertel, viele Restaurants in der Nähe, Strand in 3 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

We had a very nice stay at the bayside lodge. The hotel is owned by a nice couple who took care of everything and provided a lot of useful information about the area and things to do. We booked the cottage which in the backyard and offers a little kitchen and a big bathroom. The bedroom has underfloor heating which was great for the colder temperatures in august. As we booked the cottage for three people one was sleeping at the extendable couch in the living room, but as we already expected that it was not a problem at all. The offered breakfast buffet was very rich with fresh fruit, cereal, cheese, meat, toast and little pastries. Additionally warm dishes as eggs, bacon or pancakes could be ordered. The hotel is in a good area and the beach is in walking distance (3 min).

Aufenthalt war perfekt. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Bernie und Adrienne sind sehr hilfsbereit und geben wertvolle Tips für die tägliche Ausflugsplanung. Das Frühstück ist der Hammer. Diese Unterkunft zu diesem Preis ist eine Frechheit. Zimmer wurde alle 3 Tage sauber gemacht, frische Handtücher gab es nur auf Nachfrage. Die Handtücher die von uns zum Austausch auf die Erde gelegt wurden, wurden einfach ausgeschüttelt und sind danach wieder aufgehängt worden. Die angebotenen Restaurant Reservierungen wurden trotz Nachfrage nicht getätigt. Hat also auch nicht geklappt. Für diesen Preis bekommt man mit Sicherheit ein besseres, schöneres, freundlicheres B&B.

Wir sind wirklich schockiert von dieser Bewertung und weil es anonym ist, können wir nicht zurückverfolgen die Gäste noch können wir überprüfen, ob diese Bewertung tatsächlich über Bayside Lodge ist. Wir haben ein Team von Hausangestellten und Zimmer werden jeden Tag ohne Ausnahme gereinigt. Es gibt ein Handtuch im Bad zu erklären, dass Handtücher jeden zweiten Tag ausgetauscht werden, aber wenn die Gäste einen täglichen Wechsel benötigen, sollten sie die Handtücher auf dem Boden lassen. Bettwäsche wird jeden 3. oder 4. Tag gewechselt und die Gäste werden gebeten, mit uns zu kommunizieren, wenn sie häufiger eine Änderung benötigen. Es ist sehr enttäuschend für uns, dass dieser Gast seine / ihre Unzufriedenheit nicht direkt an uns während ihres Aufenthalts mitteilt, damit wir die Situation beheben können. Im Hinblick auf den Preis würden wir es gerne auf der Rechnung, dass wir unsere Preise sehr sorgfältig gesetzt haben. Dies ist das erste Mal in drei Betriebsjahren, dass bei der Betrachtung unseres Standortes, der Ausstattung und des Leistungsniveaus eine Beschwerde über das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis gemacht wurde. Als Teil von jedem begrüßen wir, um Restaurantreservierungen für alle unsere Gäste zu machen. Wenn ein Aufenthalt in der Hauptsaison ist und das ausgewählte Restaurant bereits ausgebucht ist, empfehlen wir Ihnen, welche Restaurants zu versuchen, die keine Reservierungen akzeptieren. Wir sind stolz auf den dritten Platz von Bayside auf Trip Advisor und bis heute waren alle unsere anderen Bewertungen (ohne Ausnahme) wesentlich besser als der Durchschnitt. Wir sind seit über 25 Jahren in der up-Markt-Hospitality-Geschäft und sind sehr komfortabel erhalten alle Feedback. Es ist einfach so unglücklich, dass dieser Gast sich dafür entschieden hat, anonym zu bleiben und wir haben keine Ahnung, wer diese Person ist oder ob er / sie sogar bei uns geblieben ist. Unser Gästehaus hat nur vier Suiten und wir treffen uns jeden Tag und jeden Tag mit jedem Gast und wir bieten Ihnen so viele Möglichkeiten, Feedback und Anfrage zu erhalten. Wunderschönes Guesthouse
Wir hatten das Familienapartment mit 2 Zimmern und 1 Bad und haben uns, dank der hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Gastgeber, sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Zimmer sind schön, gemütlich und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war das Beste, was wir auf unserer Reise bis dato hatten. Es fehlte an gar nichts. Auch für Ausflüge in die Umgebung bekamen wir zahlreiche Tipps und Informationen. Wir kommen gerne wieder! :)

Tolle Lodge in Laufweite zum Strand
Adrianne und Bernie sind die herzlichsten und am meisten umsorgenden Gastgeber die ich jemals kennengelernt habe. Dies machte uns den Aufenthalt in ihrer Bayside Lodge sehr angenehm. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Sie bereiten morgens ein tolles Frühstück vor und geben sehr hilfreiche Tips zum Kennenlernen der Gegend in und um Plettenberg Bay. Auch die Restaurant Tips waren ausgezeichnet. Bei Abreise fuhr uns Bernie netterweise noch zur Autovermietung. Vielen Dank nochmals :)
