I made a last minute reservation in a snowstorm; the desk staff was friendly and the wait staff in the next door restaurant excellent. The food was surprisingly good. It’s in the middle of an outlet mall by the highway but in driving distance of other attractions. Pleasant Prairie is just over the WI state line on I-94
The heat did not work in my room. The bed was hard as a rock yet the pillows were lacking firmness. I had a horrible nights sleep and now I have muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders. I had high hopes but I will never stay here again.
I really wanted to give 5 stars for our stay. The property was clean and the staff were polite. This location is conveniently across the street from a mall that we shopped at. Our overall stay was good. However, we left a bag containing clothing my son bought from mall. I called the facility as soon as we made it home (4 hours distance). The girl I talked to said there were no reports of any items left in our room. She said she would escalate the situation and the manager would be in contact. I have received no communication since the initial call I made.It has been a week. I am disappointed.
When we arrived the check in process was good, but upon arrival to the room the room itself was clean, but the headboards had handprint on them. The beds are stiff as a board and the pillows are flat. In the morning when we packing to leave. We asked for a vacuum cleaner. It took over an hour for one and we had to track down a housekeeper and finally gor one.
Overall the stay was nice and most of the employees were very friendly. However, there were several issues with housekeeping related issues. After we called the third time and was being told they only have an exact amount of comforters and couldn’t bring a different one, we decided to give up and go to bed.
Although I prepaid for my room, Doubletree gave away my room and sent me on my way. When I arrived at 9:30pm, they stated they overbooked and there were no rooms available. With a prepaid room, I expect my room to be there when I arrive at a normal hour. Very disappointed.
