Positives: Nice property and location, clean and spacious rooms, beautiful beach and friendly staff. Negatives: absolutely horrible food and quality of drinks considering the ranking of the hotel. Breakfast is okay, however you need to get there early when everything is still fresh and hasn’t sat out for hours. For dinner, stay away from their Italian restaurant- we got served a frozen tv dinner “pasta” that was the most awful thing I’ve ever tasted. Overall everything at dinner felt repurposed or microwaved; lack of flavor and freshness. Their French restaurant Bordeaux is probably the only decent one and still nowhere near what the standard should be for a 5 star hotel at this price point. Overall, hands down the worst food we’ve ever had in Mexico. Thank god for the pizza truck at lunchtime - it was about the best thing. Secondly, they try and upsell you at every corner. Cabanas- upcharge, lobster night - upcharge, private table (vs. communal) at a live performance-upcharge. Absolutely ridiculous. There are plenty of resorts in the area that have everything included so if you don’t, you shouldn’t market yourself as an all-inclusive resort so that people can make an informed decision. Overall, I would not recommend.
