This place is a nightmare. Getting a good night sleep was impossible at this hotel. Every night there is a noise coming from a broken system in need of repair where the rooftop pool is located on the 5th floor. When the quests at the hotel reports the noise, we are told that they will shut something off at 9pm. But the noise never stopped.. I had booked 10 days and spent five of those days at a different hotel just to get a good rest. Also, 1-Not enough bathroom towels in condition.. 2- Lounge chairs on the roof top are in horrible condition and looking moldy. No surprise -The signs on the building shows that the hotel is being sold, So the owners are not investing in it and really don't care. Thanks to the one person at the reception, Samantha. She really tried to make a difference.

The mini pillows were like tiny flat pancakes. 6 people & nobody had a decent pillow. The light in our bathroom was burned out. They said they would change it but never did. One room the refrigerator didn't work. Overall not a real pleasant stay.

This hotel is a hidden Gem. From start to finish. The staff were amazing. I dealt with Jose and Giovanni who were the greatest. Jose was always so helpful but the Gold Star goes to Giovanni. I was sick for about Days. Giovanni would run to the store and get me sprite and Tylenol and repeatedly asked if I needed to be checked out by a Medic. Both Jose and Giovanni were amazing. This is a great hotel. Everything you need is just right there. Shops and 7-ll is right next door. The rooftop offers great views of the area. My Room was a Corner Junior Suite. Floor to ceiling windows. Great natural light. Housekeeping every day. The housekeepers were wonderful as well. I really Enjoyed my Time here. I was only supposed to stay 2 nights but kept extending past a week. For price you cant beat it. The staff alone make it worth it. Thanks again.

Great boutique hotel with amazing rooftop!
The room was spacious and very clean. The AC is powerful. The view was not great as the window looked out onto a hallway. This basically meant the curtains stayed close the entire time. Everything else was great. And the rooftop is to die for!

Loved the rooftop pool, I had it all to myself!! Comfortable beds, spacious rooms with ceiling fan and air condition. Free wi fi. Great location, safe, walkable, quiet. Very nice front desk, English speaking. Wonderful hotel. And great prices.

Everything was in order, receptionist was really great and friendly! Enjoyed having a mini fridge in room and ceiling fans. Only minus was water wasn't very warm. Would stay again.

The location was perfect, the staff were nice, but the room was in need of updating (lots of holes and stains etc.). It was fine for one night but I'm glad we didn't stay any longer.

No help when you need it.
I had an emergency come up and wasn’t able to stay butbhey wouldn’t budge on refunding the night even though I’ve stayed there three nights a week before and once the year before. I like the hotel but not sure ok interested in staying here again due to their lack of compassion and flexibility.

Beng 3 travelers, we prepaid through Expedia for the 2 bedroom, 3 bed family suite months in advance. Upon checking in, the hotel informed us that our room was taken and they’d be giving us a smaller room with just one bed even though we paid for the larger room with enough beds for everyone AND had a confirmed reservation. The hotel made no accommodations for us, would not issue a refund of any kind since we didn’t get the class of room we prepaid for, and in general were pretty bad. I would never stay at this hotel or its family of hotels again.

New and clean hotel very close to the 5ta Avenida,
Everything was clean and looks new, roof top pool is awesome. They have elevator and is so close to 5ta Avenida. Beds are comfortable, and room have air conditioning and fans. There is a convenience store just in front of the hotel, and a nice restaurant named pik nik only steps far. you will enjoy you stay.

The staff is incredible
This is a small hotel and very well located (just one block from the famous 5th Avenida). It’s also quiet but close to restaurants,bars, and boutiques. There is also a deli just across the street. But the best has to be the staff very attentive but not intrusive.

The hotel provides one key per room. Small elevator. The door was broken. The toilet seat was loose. The room didn't have any windows except in the bathroom. Asked for a blanket got sheets. The coffee table had cigarette burns on it. Could go on but I'd say just don't stay there.

We really liked this well-located boutique hotel. We removed a star only because our room was the first floor facing the street and it was loud. However, were we on a higher floor or faced another direction, we would gladly give it 5 stars. We would stay again for sure.

When we got to the hotel the lobby receptionist told us that they don’t know how they still getting reservations because they don’t have any rooms avaiable. They found a solution sending us to another hotel about 10 blocks away. Even the place was much better is not the location that we wanted. So if you want to stay there make sure you think it twice. There was another couple that had the same problem.

Very accommodating staff! Would stay here again!
We were staying here for just one night before heading to an all inclusive for the rest of our stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and comfy. We were suppose to get picked up for an excursion in the morning and the travel company never showed up. The staff spent at least a couple hours of their time helping us track down the company and figure out what went wrong. They let us use their phones and helped speak with people in Spanish for us to help us get the excursion re-set up for the following day. Would absolutely recommend staying here if you are going to be in the area!

Great location and spacious rooms
When we first arrived, we found out that our toilet was not working. They switched us to a different room, same set up but significantly smaller room. Next morning, they notified us that we have to move to a different room again. I was pretty upset as we've already unpacked all our stuff and was about to head out. They said we can't move to a new room until 2pm...! After talking to them a few times, they said we can stay in the same room..... We were pretty upset with their service and miscommunication. Room is good, spacious and the hotel location is good as it's not too far from the 5th but not too noisy. BUT the service was horrible. We had to call 5 times to get fresh towels... and our safe wasn't working and again, it took them significant time to come and check it. Next morning, manager gave us complementary breakfast coupons and apologized for all the trouble. I know they have good reviews so perhaps we were just there at the wrong time... Despite our difficulties, I'd recommend this hotel to my friends for good location/price/decent rooms.

Its listed as a two bedroom, but there is a partial wall and no door to room with twin beds. Its more like a loft to me, but worked out fine for us. There is a nearby hotel that blasted techno music over the weekend that would have made it difficult to fall asleep, but we brought a white noise machine and were fine. The staff don't speak a lot of English, but were very kind and helpful. The hotel location is very central, and walking distance to anything you could need or want to do.

Loved this hotel!! Will be back.
Loved this hotel and it could not have been in a better area. There were so many great places to go, super close to the beach, nice rooftop pools, everything was clean and worked. Very friendly staff, really like that they keep the keys and have someone sitting at the front desk 24 hours a day to give you the key and greet you when you come in. Very safe.. Would love to stay here again. The family suite had more than enough room.

Booked for a junior suite which was spacious with a huge bed, large windows on 2 sides with lots of natural light. Nice sitting area. Didn't quite like the tv being right in the middle of the room. The bathroom is ok, not particularly nice. Wifi speed very fast. Great location, close to everything, 1 block down from 5th Avenue with all the shops and restaurants, convenient but away from all the noise. There is a rooftop pool and sunbath area which looked quite sad. The staff all friendly and helpful, most speak pretty good English. They helped arrange a taxi driver for a private day tour and to the airport.

No security to control a loud group on the first weekend. I complained, and was told to deal with them myself. No ice, no snacks, no welcoming drink. The A/C fan in auto setting never turns off.

If you want to save money but still visit Playa a
Nice hotel. Some of the rooms were in doors meaning you don't have an outside window. There is a window but you have a hall way in between which in some cases other people staying in your rooms next to you may have a clear view of what's going inside your room. For some very odd reason they close the rooftop at 10:00PM so if you are a smoker you would need to get outside of the building to have a smoke after that hour. Very Friendly staff.

New, modern and clean hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Noise from traffic late at night as you are in the centre of Playa del Carmen near 5th Avenue which makes it easy to get around

Couchemar a l’hôtel.
C'était le cauchemar à l’hôtel. Les infrastructures très dégradées l’intérieur surtout. Piscine sur le toit pas entretenue et l’ état de l’immobilier pourrit. Les draps et essuies vieux mal lavés. Douche difficile également. Mais surtout, un bruit infernal la nuit à cause d’un bar rock à côté. Si vous aimez dormir la nuit, je ne vous conseille pas cet hotel. Le seul point positif, est que le personnel est très sympa et souriant.

La recepcionista de la noche muy poco educada, en una ocasión que llegamos 11:50 pm la puerta estaba cerrada, no servía el timbre, tocábamos por más de 20 min y no nos habrían, vimos a un huésped asomarse por una ventana y tuvimos q gritarle que nos abriera, fue a buscar a alguien del hotel para que nos abrieran. Pésimo servicio. La regadera y la llave del grifo en muy mal estado, el agua sale para todos lodos, te moja toda tus cosas del lavabo. Hace 16 meses nos hospedamos aquí y todo estaba en muy buen estado, es una lástima que lo que estén dejando caer, porque tiene una muy buena ubicación.

Sorry, but this was not what we expected.
Too many complications, nothing looked as nice as on pictures. The room itself was nice except for traffic noice and all the electrical cables right outside the windows. Luckily, we only booked one night. I cannot recommend and will not return as there are so many available places with better value for money. Best thing was external breakfast (it's in another place at a restaurant) but also here we had some complications to solve before all was settled. But to be fair, the receptionist really, really tried her best so thank you for that.
