Kids running in the hallways and up and down the stairs, rules need enforced about safety with kids and pool parties here. Only problem, other than that love the place!

Reserved a handicap accessible room. Room on the 2nd floor with no elevator and no grab bars in the bathroom as stated on the room description. There were no other rooms Available so my 92 year old Mother was a trooper and slowly climbed the 15 or so stairs and we went and purchased rails for the toilet. The room was clean and spacious. The room was nice otherwise.

There was no outlets by sink or mirrors at all. Microwave could not even have a plugin on the wall. One of the clean towels had hair shavings all over it... were the linens even washed then? Pool and hot tub out of commission. No forewarning of this either. There is no elevator in the building to get to 2nd floor. They had luggage carts, but no elevator.

Made reservations a month ahead of time specifically for the pool as my daughter wanted a pool party for her birthday. Drove 4 hours, checked in and went to our poolside room. Looked out the glass door toward the pool from the room only to find out the pool was closed for maintenance (no water in it). Had to split up family and those of us with kids had to get a room at a different hotel with pool for almost double the price as it was last minute. For their credit the ramkota was supposed to cancel our rooms with no cancellation fee, however I have my doubts that this will happen since the room was booked through Expedia and getting a room cancelled with them is a huge pain as you can’t just talk to a real person to explain the situation.

The place was "okay" but there were a lot of gotchas. Firstly, their pool area was closed without explanation for a month. Something that was disclosed upfront and had no affect on the cost. Secondly, they have an indoor courtyard right outside our rooms with giant bright lights that shined in all night long. Despite a poor covering over the door, the light shown right onto the bed. then, the light/fan in the bathroom was hanging off the ceiling by electrical wires. Certainly not safe. Finally, there was absolutely no table in the room. Seemed odd not to have a simple table upon which to work.

I’ve always like the Ramkota. It did not disappoint. Stairway/hallway needed a vacuum but that is all. Great stay!

The access to the path along the river is awesome. Beautiful grounds. Quiet and feel safe walking my dog when needs to go out in middle of night.
