Cons- Waiting chairs on the elevator are old, unpleasant smell in the room, old door in the restroom. Pros: close to restaurants, groceries like walmart, mall like dillards and banks.

Appeared clean, but had a musty odor. Curtain panels appeared to have a mold at the hem line. Discovered a couple of spots on bathroom floor upon 1st use. When cleaned with wet cloth they rinsed red, ugh! But too tired to request room change, no worst than could have happened at home

We booked this hotel in February due to the outdoor pool being very nice as we’ve stayed here the last couple years around this time and we needed this due to it being hot in Phoenix. The day we traveled there, we found out the pool was closed for the year due to construction. Upon learning this, I called Doubletree management to change to another Doubletree nearby with an open pool to switch to but they refused and wanted to charge me ridiculous cancellation fees. I called Doubletree corporate to assist and they refused and said they couldn’t help me and then hung up on me after I asked to speak to someone in charge. Unbelievable! I called back and the same thing happened….the call goes to a foreign office (sounds like India or Pakistan) and they act like they care but won’t actually do anything and then hang up on you when you persist to get a resolution. Doubletree ruined my 1 week Phoenix vacation that i saved money for the past 12 months due to no pool and wouldn’t switch me to another Doubletree nearby without ridiculous change/cancellation fees. Stay away from Doubletree! We’ll be finding a hotel elsewhere next year that has customer service that actually cares and assists.

Dated property. The rooms are cooled by a swamp cool and are very humid. This is Phoenix is a hot dry desert and needs AC not a swamp cooler when it is hot. There was also a lot of dirty furniture that was in need of cleaning. The chairs near the elevator had large brown spots from the oil on people’s skin and were clean where their clothes would contact the chair.

Hotel was good, nice staff. Bed is comfortable but the pillows were not. Hotel definitely can use new carpet and aesthetics in internal areas. Bathroom door was terrible, kept getting stuck. We also had to kill flying bug in the room probably due warm area. Overall, if you are staying to sleep in and spend rest of the day outside of the hotel. It’s decent place but doesn’t feel like doubletree.

Lots of options for food around the property. This hotel is conveniently located close to freeway access making it easy to navigate. The hotel rooms are super outdated and need a remodel. The pool was closed for repairs but I was never made aware. I will look at staying someplace else next time.

The area was fantastic, hotel service was awesome! When we got to the room it was very humid. We said we might as well try it out. The next morning was even more humid, the blankets and pillows were damp. We left the hotel for an airbnb. Woudlnt recommend this hotel UNLESS they get a NEW HVAC SYSTEM!!!

First of all I really liked my stay there except for one complaint. The air conditioning was not working. I was there for my daughter's wedding.. I was there for 5 days in the rooms were so hot they did bring us a couple fans. But didn't really work but it did offer to switch his room which was kind of hard to do because I was busy with my daughters wedding preparations so I had no time to switch I just made it work. Hopefully they get this problem fixed before the heat really sets in over there. Other than that the staff everybody was really nice and helpful if they fixed the AC then maybe I'll stay there again.

Staff that checked us in were nice enough until we asked for a different room than the one they initially gave us. After that request, their demeanor was much less friendly. Although we did get into a room we liked better, we were awakened at 2:30 a.m. by a very loud couple in an adjacent room. They finally quieted down after an hour. But we were struck at how thin the walls between rooms must be. Early morning staff at the breakfast area on Sunday morning were nice, as was the gentleman who checked us out.

When we arrived we figured out that the pool and hot tub were closed. The room was very small with limited space for clothes. When taking a shower there was water dripping from a leak in the ceiling. Overall the property was awful considering the price of $2000 for the week.

Our room was advertised as having a double pull out bed. It was a twin. There were leaves everywhere on the walkways and the rooms were old and even off they were clean, it didn’t feel it.

It seems as though the hotel was built and then forgot about. The paint was chipping, carpet was gross in the hotel room, the pool had been closed (to our surprise) for several months due to a sink hole found underneath. It did not feel safe to wander around inside or outside, unfortunately. I do not recommend.
