I really like the location, the staff are super nice, rooms are quite spacious. Televisions could definitely be bigger though, and some of the people hanging around the area are a little sketchy to say the least, but that's a ptbo thing not the hotels fault

This hotel is located in what I can only refer to as unsafe, no parking near by, ants crawling all over bathroom. I left early and no refund was given let alone a partial offered. I highly recommend looking elsewhere if staying in Peterborough Ontario

The front desk staff member was absolutely wonderful! I can’t negate that. This boutique hotel was likely a very nice place 20-30 years ago but is in a state of complete disrepair now. Closet doors are broken and won’t open. Pull out couch is broken and mattress falls right to the floor when pulled out. A hotel room without a door handle right when you get off the elevator.

My stay was OK. It's a downtown hotel so some aspects of the area were not what I'm used to. Parking is in a municipal garage 1 block down so I had to schlep my suitcase from the garage to the hotel, which I would prefer not to do. I found lots of good dining options close to the hotel which was great. I loved being close to the waterfront is a block down and over, well worth the walk and just beautiful! The hotel shows signs of faded glory and recent updates. The room had some nice features - fireplace and Jacuzzi bathtub. Thermostat didn't seem to be working, as it was dialed all the way down and the room was still very warm. The window air conditioner sparked when it turned on so I didn't use it. The continental breakfast was just sad. I mean, I didn't starve or anything but the juice and cream cheese were not cold. Some yogourt would have been a welcome addition, and the fresh fruit bowl was not refreshed from day to day. The staff were kind and helpful and that counts for a lot. I grew rather fond of the place!

Rundown and dirty. Keys dont work and I had to get new ones everytime I wanted to get to my room. They also dont ask for id when i got new keys so technically anyone could have said the same thing and got into any room which is really unsafe. Ants in the bathroom, stains on bed and weird cutouts in carpet probably covering blood stains tbh. Not a nice olace at all and doesnt feel safe

Stay somewhere else Very disappointed when I arrived after a long , tiring winter drive. Very dated, grimy, in poor repair, drapes falling off the track, knocking everything off the mismatched furniture Staff didn’t turn the heat on for my arrival, room was ice cold, took an hour to heat up, only heat source was a gas fireplace that was off in a corner, constant light of fireplace was frustrating when you want to sleep Bed only had a sheet and a thin cover, found some dodgy blankets in the closet No parking, had to go to a municipal parking lot and pay and walk back to hotel in the cold and dark.

The staff are wonderful; main reason we keep going back. Other pluses, unique design of rooms, close to a diverse array of restaurants, available downtown parking and coffee available. The main plus however is the wonderful staff.

There were bugs in the bathroom (on the floor, in the bathtub and in the sink) when we arrived, and the room itself had an overpowering potpourri smell. The front desk guy was friendly and nice though. I think it's just a super old building and who knows what comes up from those pipes.

The best word to sum up our stay was disappointing. The room we booked was described as a Deluxe Queen Suite and the accompanying picture showed a large and bright exterior-facing room with a nice bed. The room we were given was the opposite of deluxe, a dark and airless room with no external windows, shabby décor and an bed with a very tired mattress. It is a shame, because the hotel itself is well situated, the breakfast provided was very simple but quite adequate, and the staff were very friendly.

This property is very very dated. The mattresses even felt really old. There is a musty smell as you come in. They was dirty linens lying in the hall and our room was dirty with an unmade bed. They did upgrade our room to make up for that which we did appreciate. The parking is a good block and a half away from the hotel. We won't be coming again.

This place is out of date and needs a renovation. I walked up to a pile of garbage bags at the front door. The room is not at all like described. The armoir is sitting in the room away from the wall.

In general the property is quite dated. The rooms desperately need a renovation with stained carpets, furniture, etc. Bathrooms were in poor condition with obvious signs of neglect and uncleanlines. The first room we were given had stains on the comforter and hairs on the pillow covers.

I felt a little on the fence about how to rate this stay. The hotel itself was lovely and the front desk gentlemen that I interacted with were absolutely wonderful. My stay included free parking and free breakfast, which was also nice. My room was spacious and very comfortable. My only real issue was the noise. It's an older hotel, so it's not really as sound proof as some of the newer hotels. I knew this when I made the reservation, but I wasn't quite expecting the level of noise that I experienced during my stay. I had a street facing room and it was nearly 4am (on a Friday) before I was able to fall asleep due to the noise both outside and within the hotel. You could hear everyone coming and going from the elevator all night, the guests in the room above you as well, and everything happening on the street outside. All of it made for a very rough sleep. This might be something that ear plugs alone could resolve, as otherwise, the hotel was lovely. But if you have kids or are sensitive to noise, I would recommend somewhere further from downtown that is a bit newer. Again though, the hotel staff were seriously wonderful.

Was booked in for eight days from Jan12th until 20th. On booking in was informed that we had to vacate the room on 14th due to hotel closing for 4 days. Never informed before flying from the UK. Not good enough, fortunately found another hotel a taxi ride outside of town. Will not use Expedia again. Did report this to Expedia at the time but surprise surprise no response.

Great staff! We're in the process of maintenance upgrades which should make the facility better down the road. We were originally facing George Street and that was a loud...but the staff was very accommodating and moved our room for night two which was excellent.

Stayed the night for a local concert, good accomodations. The original booking was for 2 people, but when we needed another bed last minute they had an extra cot for a fee. Beds were comfortable, rooms have sinks and fridges. Adam at the front desk definitely took care of us with a smile, very friendly and sociable.
