Back door right by handicapped parking is locked, no longer used. Had to walk around the building. First room, non functioning tv. Moved to 2nd room, which had no tv remote. Was moved to 3rd room, which had non functioning tv AND broken A/C & heating unit. Sign read "Heat don't work." At that point, I asked for a refund, was refused, and left.

I was satisfied with this hotel, for a one night stay. I saw a lot of complaints about dirty carpet, and I would agree that the carpet in the elevator had a lot of stains. However, the room was clean and had no issues with the room or the bathroom. It just seems the property is a little dated and they aren’t keeping up on all the maintenance. The ice machine on the six floor did not work but the one on the third floor worked great. Also, another minor thing is the stopper in the bathroom sink didn’t work, but does that really matter?

There are some rooms in this hotel which haven’t been updated or remodeled. The carpet in the room was distasteful. Everything else in the room was average.

This place's lobby is gorgeous and the rooms are very homey. The hotel appears clean and safe. It's a little run down but overall pretty good. I would recommend to a friend.

Property outside is run down, trash on parking lot. There's no breakfast included, there hasn't been since covid. Lobby is dark, housekeeping left no bars of soap and a half roll of toilet paper. There were 7 people waiting to check in at 2pm when I arrived, but clerk said no check in until 3pm. One clerk was very nice , while the other not so much. When we checked out they couldn't find our reservation, and said someone else must have checked us out, so I couldn't get a receipt. Here's the bottom line.... we were only there 1 night, so it was tolerable, but there's many more options where you'll get your moneys worth.

The staff was helpful and overall the hotel was pretty clean. However, the amenities they advertised online were not actually available. The biggest one being “free breakfast with made to order food”. The restaurant is shut down permanently, but we were not made aware of this at any point and only found out when we went to eat in the morning only to find a handwritten sign saying it was closed permanently and to ask at the desk for restaurant recommendations.

A good choice for staying if attending an event at the Civic Center; a short walk. Our room was fine, and there is plenty of parking. I would stay here again just for the easy walk to the arena. No breakfast or amenities to speak of, but I was aware of that when booking.

Staff was nice but I think very disorganized rooms were clean but most of the lamps didn’t work tv would not turn on and off with remote there was only one cup and one package of coffee in the room for 2 people went down to lobby for coffee at 6:30 am had to wait half hour cause staff had to make some the room needed new carpet and paint and the bed was very uncomfortable

We liked the easy parking and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Check-in and check-out was seamless. There was 2 red stains on the carpet in our room (hoping it was nail polish). Wish they had a restaurant on-site.

Checking in was easy. It sounded like someone was trying to come into our room at one point and then our door opened sometime around midnight but we had the bolt in place. They apologized and said I’m so sorry this is the front desk and then you could her and a man say “you messed up”. The sound on our TV did not work which was a little disappointing. The carpet needs to be cleaned or removed. It has a lot of stains and just looked very icky.

Back door was broke so had a to take 3 trips carrying my luggage in from the back hotel parking lot to the front door. First room hadn’t been touched by housekeeping, second room had guest in the room sleeping, third room none of the actual lights worked- just a lamp but it was better than nothing at that point. One front desk lady was apologetic and helpful and the other one never put her phone down or got up from her chair during my entire check in process or the 20 minutes it took carrying my luggage back and fourth between the 5th floor. I was told there was a $40 deposit but my card was charged $67.37 and they wrote it in as some senior rate? I shouldn’t have had a rate when I prepaid with Expedia so I’m waiting to hear back from the bank on that. The hotel lobby was extremely dark and uninvited. It reminded me of a bed and breakfast from a scary movie. Overall the hotel is extremely outdated and you can tell no one is planning to revamp or fix anything. I think Covid may of did a number but it’s sad to see a long time peoria hotel go downhill. No restaurant or bar.

I haven’t been there for years I was once a nice I’m not gonna critique anything about the hotel, except for the two things that really bothered me, number one was the freaking elevator. We used it once it was very slow then it did not work again. I’ve been ill, and I have severe asthma, and the five flights of stairs, after having come back from a for me, and it made me very unhappy, then I go into my room and get into the bed for the first time and I am a comfy bed girl. This bed was completely the opposite. No sleep comfort at all. The pluses were the bathroom was very clean and had really wonderful products in the shower. The shampoo and conditioner and body wash were really nice. I usually stay in pretty nice hotels, and I’m always fair, I will really try and be the elevator was very disappointing, because I could barely make it up there without wheezing and needed my inhaler after, but the bed was a dealbreaker, I want comfort I have health issues that I need a nice bed. Definitely need to do some upgrades. Your parking is great. Your location is nice. Do something to make it even better deal with the elevator put in some comfortable beds.

DANGEROUS!
I’m disabled. The door next to handicap parking, broken. Had to walk around building, through a dark scary lot, over very uneven concrete, and a hill that’s difficult for me to climb. The front door only opens half way. There’s no luggage cart. There was no communication from the booking company to the hotel. Yeah, you guys! I paid extra for a 7th floor river view and extra towels and toiletries. The desk clerk said top floors have been closed because of pipe damage and flooding and have been for months! I paid EXTRA for a special stay, instead I get whatever is leftover! No choice but take the room, step onto elevator and trip! It doesn’t level with the floor. The room… Curtain didn’t close. It was completely broken! Phone, no dial tone. Bathroom, no soap, no towels. Desk clerk has us try another room. Not him, but us. That room hadn’t even been cleaned! The third room the fan wouldn’t stay on. The bed frame stuck out bruising my shins! The shower had no door just half a glass panel. The shower head too high to reach. I almost slipped through glass trying to adjust it! Everything in bathroom was wet afterwards. The toilet, toilet paper, sink, floor. This hotel is very dangerous!!! Also the first clerk said I could park next to the front door behind the concierge’s vehicle since I’m disabled. Next day new clerk said I can’t. I want my money back! I won’t be booking with them or YOU again!

Looks ran down & nothing like the pictures. Stains. Walks are warped. Fire alarm ripped off the wall, left cords hanging. Very hard beds with topper that was too small.

The door by the parking lot was blocked off due to some snow. It was below zero but everyone had to walk around to get in. No shuttle to the civic center. No free continental breakfast.

Call to make sure you have a room after reserving!
The hotel has usually been very good, but this year they somehow lost ALL reservations made before November for a large January educators conference meaning numerous people arrived with reservations from hotels.com on their apps and no room for them. To make it better, the front desk worker told me they had a smaller room available and gave me the price quote for the full time I was scheduled to be there. I told them I'd take it and asked if I should come back for the new receipt at the end of a 3 day stay and was told "Yes when you check out Saturday we will have the receipt". Returned Thursday night to find all my stuff was gone. The front desk then told me I had only been booked for 1 night and they took all my stuff out. BUT my key still worked in the door where they had checked me out before! So if the next person has been in the room, when I walked in to find my stuff missing I could have walked in to whoever was there despite being "checked out" without my knowledge. The location is great and the rooms are usually pretty good, but in the 7 years I have been attending this conference this is the 3rd or 4th year I have heard of people having problems with rooms not being available or sold out from under. Make sure you call weeks before so you are sure you actually have a room!

This hotel has gone "downhill"!
The hotel room was not very clean. Stain on the spread. Very thin spread, thin blanket and sheets. Had to turn up the heat to stay warm (January in IL)! Bathroom could have been cleaner. Only 1/2 shower door so the bathroom floor got wet. My room faced Interstate 74 and it was SO LOUD! I only got a few hours sleep due to the noise. No restaurant or bar (last time I stayed there, pre-pandemic, they had these.) Elevator was very noisy - they even recommended using the stairs - I was on the 7th floor!! They charge a $40 fee that will supposedly be returned after the payment clears my bank!! I will not stay here ever again!!

We got to the hotel late in the evening to check in, waited a half hour in the lobby, no one ever came to the desk. We walked all over the hotel to find someone, there was no one around. Front door not locked, elevators not locked. We were forced to leave there in subzero temps to drive to another hotel. The most awful and unsafe experience.
