We arrived quite late, 9:0pm, the hotel kept us updated on how to check in as reception closed at 7pm. My boys liked their beds being in a seperate room to us. Comfy, clean accommodation, we would stay again if passing through this way.

I find this Aparthotel good value for money it's situation is ideal close to shopping centre & a short drive to the historic town centre. The rooms are spotless & the reception is efficient and welcoming.

Building doesn't look like much from outside or in the hallways, but the rooms are nice, bug and clean. Great price for the size and quality of the rooms.

Room too hot.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. It is adequately, if sparsely, furnished (think ikea chic).The bed was comfortable with good quality linen. Bathroom was clean and bright. I didn't use the kitchen equipment it all seemed ok. The only problem was the temperature of the room. It was 25 dégrees C when I arrived late afternoon as it was West facing and the shutter had not been closed. The second night, despite having closed the shutter for the day, the temperature was 27C. It didn't cool down until after dark with the windows open. As a consequence, I didn't get much sleep either night.

Hello David, I'm sorry it you didn't sleep about the temperature. We don't have any air conditioning and it's written on the website when you do your booking. Anyway, we are thinking for the future about this equipment for the confort to our guests. We are happy to see how much you have enjoyed your room and the service. Student accommodation? - previous cooking smell
This is budget accommodation, however the strong ingrained smell of cooking within the room was overpowering and left us unable to stay here. Maybe I misunderstood the description as it’s not close to the centre and it looks like unused student accommodation. Didn’t fancy leaving the car exposed outside so we checked in then checked out. We didn’t stay. Might be ideal for young lads used to a hostel type stay.

Overnight stop on the way to spain
We stayed here on an overnight stop on our way to spain. Very easy to find, petrol station near by. We would definitely stay here again. The rooms had all the amenities we needed and very clean and comfy.

Appart'Hotel Victoria Garden Pau
Pau is a lovely city and we enjoyed our visit. The apartment had a separate bedroom a sofa bed in the living room / kitchen and separate bathroom with bath. It was clean comfortable and well equipped with microwave dishwasher and fridge Parking readily available and free wi fi. It is situated close to a school and not far from the supermarket. Wonderful view of the Pyrenees from our third floor room

A good night stopover
This was an overnight stop on our way from Spain to the UK. We found the hotel very easily and it is a good location for the motorway access. The room facilities were superb, we had our own food so did not need to go in search of a restaurant and the cooking facilities were more than adequate. The receptionist was very pleasant and we were not charged extra for the car parking or the wifi. Will definitely be using this hotel again

Did what it said on the tin!
Well positioned for overnight stay between Biarritz & Med. Easy to find as long as double length lorry isn't parked across side road leading around another building to car park hiding both side road entrance and the sign! Very clean and quiet. Large supermarket within 5 min walk. Took about 20 min to do pleasant walk into heart of Pau rather than cope with one way systems & find parking. Staff very pleasant & helpful. Would stop again.

Room facilities fine but room smelt musty and of stale food. Passage lights on timers the switches for which were broken so entry and exit difficult as very hard to lock/ unlock door. Staff answered specific questions but offered no information and showed no interest. Wifi only worked very intermittently in room (third floor), could only get effective access by going down to reception.

Close to the University
I was very happy with my stay at Appart'Hotel Victoria Garden in Pau. I was attending a conference at the University of Pau and the location of the hotel was very convenient. It was about a 10 to 15 minute walk away. My wife and I had booked a double room but were given a larger suite at no extra charge. There were cooking facilities, a fridge, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, and lots of pots, pans, plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, etc. The staff were helpful and friendly. They helped to book a taxi for 5:00 am for a 6:30 am flight from the airport. At 5:00 am the taxi took only 10 minutes to get to the airport. There is a convenient bus (T2) that runs every 15 minutes to downtown with all the shops and restaurants. Just pay 1 Euro on the bus. I would be happy to stay at this hotel again. I rated the condition and cleanliness of the hotel as 4 only because the carpet in the room was showing its age. The surrounding neighborhood was also rated 4 only because there are no really nice restaurants in walking distance. Better to get the bus to town.

Victoria Garden stay
A huge studio room - large double bed, kitchenette with fridge, 2 ring stove and a grill/microwave (?), large bathroom with shower over bath. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean and warm. Wifi access was offered free. Staff friendly and helpful. Lift useful as I had luggage. Parking spaces are quite narrow and if the place were full, I'd imagine parking could be tricky. The Leclerc hypermarket with several shops, cafés, restaurants and a cinema complex is in walking distance, as is the university. A very pleasant one night stay - I would definitely stay here again.

I'll admit we only sent 7 hours in this facility. It was a close location (<10 minute drive) from the airport and we had a 0730 flight. The room was very comfortable and clean. A welcome change from our other places was it had US CNN so we were able to get caught up a bit before heading home. Highly suggested but remember there are limited hours to get your key. Don't arrive outside those hours or you will be in trouble.

OK for overnight stay, out of town and didn't bother trying to go in as only one night. Right next door to large supermarket and small shopping mall, and 5 minute walking distance to mexican restaurant that was quite good and reasonably priced. Stayed in 4 person suite that has separate bedroom which doesn't show on web site, kitchen equipped enough to put basic breakfast or meal together, would stay again as overnight stopping point, any longer would mean going in to the town and traffic was pretty busy when coming through it.

Manage your expectations
Overall we had a comfortable short stay, but we would look for somewhere a little smarter next time. Hotel easy to find, on outskirts of Pau. Parking easy next to hotel. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. Accomodation is designed for students, and next to another block of student accomodation. Despite this it was reasonably quiet (apart from noisy lift). Decor of room was 'tired' (damp in two places and carpet scuffed and stained). Self catering kitchenette basic, clean and adequately resourced. Bathroom adequate but pipework behind sink looked scruffy/dirty. A sign says the room is cleaned weekly but we were given fresh towels daily.

This hotel is very much like a youth hostel. The kitchenette was useful, although it had no mugs. The bed was just a piece of foam and was very uncomfortable. There were also some dubious stains on the throw. Overall, very basic accommodation and a 2 mile walk into town. It's handy for Pau airport, but definitely as a last resort only.
